UmTi was horrible throughout Worlds except for a couple of wins against GAM. People are going to blame APA, but he was getting heavily focused by FLY and there was just no response. The irony of Dom being an UmTi-hater is that he also really hated the player UmTi replaced...Pyosik.

@@wood5241 that G2 team has played together for 600 days - if they had just relocated to Korea, 600 days in I'm not even kidding that team would have been on T1's level and would be competing for semis or finals every year....I don't know how caps and BB managed to maintain level or improve with the EU practice environment but based on worlds performances over the last years they could actually challenge Koreans if they just weren't falling for the 2-3 situations that Koreans play out every Sunday and they get to see once every blue moon at worlds

APA is fine at LCS level but he is so outclassed at this level, doesn't look fixable. His champion pool makes the draft impossible to win, guy can play 5 champion at a decent level, and 0 of them are OP on 14.18. Maybe learn some champions that are good on 14.18 if you're about to play worlds on 14.18, no ? Also Neeko is supposedly one of his best champs and he had an absolute disasterclass on her, that's worrying.
Umti, idk man... he just bad, pretty much no upside, ints a lot, never carries, makes some insane mistakes that you look like Gold/Plat/Emerald plays. If they search they can probably find a better jungler in 3 days.
I love Impact but he isn't good enough when not playing tanks and he isn't getting any younger.

if you're low elo, you shouldn't type about pro league of legends. getting the xp and levels is more important early than giving up deaths. the reason he dies more than other top laners is because his team is structured that way.

An LCS finals rematch to determing the 8th and final spot in quarters actually seems to me like the new swiss format working perfectly. The best NA team at the tournament IMO should be able to make top 8, but coming in pretty much as the hard 8th of 8. This new format gave teams enough rope to have a scuffle or 2 and rise their level up and still advance, and IMO has ultimately done a really good job of getting the 8 most deserving teams into the quarterfinals.

It isn't though. NA at no point won against strong competition and only won against minor regions and themselves. The only reason why NA is where it is, is quite literally due to luck not skill.
