Tyson had a punch that went through a MoFo. Even if dude be blocking Mike, he felt those punches. He hit like one of those battering rams that you see on a tank. Pure hydrolic pressure taking people out. Maybe later on after prison he wasn't the same; like maybe he mellowed out a bit and lost his killer instinct. but a 20 years old?? There wasn't NO fighter in the world could handle Mike.

I watched a lot of heavyweight fights that were Foreman, Joe Frazier, Ken Norton and Muhammad Ali. It is too hard if not impossible to rate fighters in a different era. I'd still choose Ali if he didn't play around so much. Some talked about Tyson's opponents being so much taller. The height didn't matter when Tyson would lower his body and come up to the head, boom knockout. They should name a sleeping pill after Tyson.

Spinks was so terrified after hearing that the thudding sound he heard in his locker room was Tyson punching holes in the wall because Spinks manager questioned Tyson’s hand wraps. That "boy" was the greatest boxer of my time. One of the best of ALL time. He is also currently a 52 year old man and is far from a "boy". Although you may have only seen him as a composed older guy on stage in blazers who talks about his life on stage, make no mistake... he was a walking nightmare and paved a deep dark road. "Boy" may just be a part of your vocabulary and it's likely that you didn't mean any disrespect, but this man deserves your mindfulness.

I remember watching these Tyson fights live back in the day. When we were trying to predict the result, it wasn't whether Tyson would WIN .... we were trying to figure what round he would knock them out. And first round KOs by Tyson was a common thing. We would watch HOURS of pre-fight lead ups .... for a few seconds or minutes of boxing in the first round.

Also Tyson never fought Foreman because in my personal opinion Foreman was scared to lose to Tyson and was all talk with the help of people who wanted to make money off him. There were several attempts made to negotiate this fight in each of which Mr Foreman claimed some dispute with Don King which he later admitted he just couldn't stand Don King. Personally I'm pretty sure that George just didn't want to get knocked the hell out and lose a lot of his grill sales. I mean how much of a name would he be if Tyson knocked his ass out in a couple of rounds.

Tyson will go down in history as the most powerful boxer ever. The only drawback to watching him fight was he came up during the heyday of pay-per-view. People were dropping sixty bucks to watch him fight on cable television only to get a fight that ended in the first round. Usually only a few seconds into the first round.

Lol I grew watching him and yes all that people would complain is that the fight was over quick after paying for it, and missing out on the knock out cause they didnt keep their eyes on the screen.

The thing about Tyson was how fast he was n how incredible his footwork n rhythm were. Like u said he wasnt big for a heavyweight n yeah he was jacked but every1 thinks that his power came from him just humming his huge arms around. If u watch how he twerks his body when he throws them hooks n head movement into an uppercut he was so technical n fast. That is why he would hit with so much power. It's not jus about being ripped. It's about how u use ur body movement n momentum that generates ko power.

It's funny to watch all the fanfare at the beginning of fights, just to get knocked the heck out by Tyson in the first round.
