Mike Tyson in his prime was an absolute beast, if it wasnt for his original coach getting him off the streets and channeling his aggression he wouldve been a stone cold killer.
He was damn near unbeatable.

Mike inside game was insane. He switched hit in the pocket generating so much power in a short distance. His switches were quick too. Flat out amazing. My dad cried last year when he met mike in Cali...was pretty cool they're both Muslim so they said some salutations. Was really cool.

Tyson in his prime was unbeatable. He was always the smaller man in most of his fights but his punching power was unmatched and none of his opponents could withstand the punches. He was very precise on where he landed the punches and was lightning quick for a heavyweight fighter. All of his power came from being totally balanced on his feet.....he maximized the punches and almost all of them did damage early in the fights. Once they were staggered he was a total predator and finished them quickly.

Think about this: Larry Holmes was once the Heavyweight Champion himself. Had one of the best jabs in the business. Tyson took him out because he took out an aging Muhammad Ali and wanted to exact revenge for him.

It's not defence you need against Tyson but offence. Tyson is at home stalking and smashing through defence with combinations. He has trouble when fighters punch back and hold.
Punch and hold is the formula many fighters have used.

The Larry Holmes knockout should have been called after the second one and maybe the first knock-down. He was not there but the ref kept continuing the fight for some reason. He could not defend himself and Tyson just had to finish the job for the complete KO.
