Playing as him was an absolute blessing and an amazing honor. If only his original outfit from WD 1 was wearable in legions.
I've finished Watch Dogs Legion: Bloodline yesterday. It was so much better then the base game. Bloodline made me like more Aiden Pearce as character. Also I like how the DLC explore Aiden's past trauma, by entering his mind with Jackson. But I wish they went more deeper with that idea. If Bloodline was longer or it was the main game, then Legion could've been a bit more better. Lastly, I really enjoyed back and fourth between Wrench and Jordi. They got some weird chemistry. But it was fun and funny. It will be cool if We got Watch Dogs Spin-off, starting both of them. Or another game with Alden.
Mm, the story is absolutely better but the gameplay is terrible. Zero reason to profile anyone and half the enemies you face are bullet sponge robots, plus Aidens hacking abilities are still butchered to fit in line with Legions main gameplay, which just doesn’t work in Bloodlines. The trauma plot was great and I’m glad he finally got that out in a relatively healthy way that didn’t involve murder, they literally inceptioned him though so I’m not sure how much deeper it could get lol Not a bad DLC but my main motivation was to be able to play Aiden in the main game, where I killed him permanently within 10 minutes of recruiting him. 12:20 If they do make another game I want them to go back to the roots of what made WD 1 work so well. Aiden is what made us love Watch Dogs to begin with.
Speaking of changed character models, the one that drove me crazy was Talion in ME: Shadow of War. In Shadow of Mordor he was a good looking guy but in the second game a Neanderthal got slipped in there somehow.
I understand what they were trying to do, and I welcome and encourage experimentation. But experiences like this are so much better with an actual characters with real stories, not randomly generated avatars.
i enjoy play all watch dogs ,1st is masterpiece , 2nd is fun ,3rd is cool, but i agreed , imagine trilogy of aiden pearce i believe this would be more successful than 2 and 3 🔥🔥🔥🔥
You know, I thought so too at first playthrough, but later realized that the gimmick of the game is the Pokémon style collecting of agents, finding new ones when they die, using a wide variety of powers/approaches to finish missions, etc. And having great individual characters kind of cuts all that out.
“Ubi doesn’t know how to make intimidating villains” wait till (spoilers) you hear that guy in the last fight of the DLC sounding like the principle from A Goofy Movie. Also bad villain aside, I really enjoyed the DLC and a good amount of the main game. Having Aiden, Wrench, a grown up Jackson, and a few Marcus and Jordi cameos in a short DLC was a good way to sell me on this game. I also got the assassin operative and a few others I really enjoyed playing as in the main game, and I actually became invested in their role in the story. Aside from side missions and recruitment missions’ generic lines and animations it feels good to play as your favorite few characters.
Yo, I actually really liked legion the gameplay is really fun the way you can go about missions and what not. The best way to play is on resistance mode. It's really cool and a lot harder. Just way more immersive in general.

Watch Dogs Legion was one of my most disappointing games of the last few years. The series has so much potential, I really hope they learn from their past 3 games and make a Watchdogs 4 that avoids the varying and different issues each one had.
from a side view those robuts looked like they were operating with TRS80's for heads haha. Those had like 4kb of RAM in some models which would explain the inability to spot you when 10 feet away
Loved this dlc but still think for the 3rd game they should’ve just done a deep dive into a dedsec cell somewhere else in the world while keeping some of the vibe from the second game. Like instead of playing as anyone in the city just a roster of like 5 or 10 or whatever.
No, dedesec in the second game made dedsec seem like a joke. Dedesec in part 1 seemed more dangerous and serious. Bring Dedesec from 1 back. And if not, just get rid of dedsec all together. There’s no reason t keep using the name without really delving into what dedsec originally is meant and supposed to be. Horatio just took the name and did whatever he wanted with it.
Playing through WD rn with FPS boost, great game considering it was pioneering the whole hacking thing. Story also isn’t unrealistic and the graphics are super solid for 2014.
I think Watch Dog with Aiden is just better all around. Domestic part is I can't knock the second and third game and be objective they were very well made I just prefer this character over everybody else which isn't fair but it's how I feel
I enjoyed Watch Dogs 2 so much and was disappointed that they didn’t go back to Aiden as the main character or make another compelling main character. Ubisoft misses so much more than they hit.
Everyone is praising the bloodline DLC, which is cool and all, im glad that people are enjoying the game now, but it took a DLC in order for this game to be regarded as any good.
@@anotherrandomguy8871 It’s a shame. They have so many great I.P’s, but they would be better off in someone else’s hands. They need new project managers and creative writers.
My favorite part of legion is the finding characters in the world to recruit and customize, permadeath, getting super attached for no reason, super excited when I find someone with perk/weapons I like (taser gun is the best). I’d take that over more Aidan personally but you made it look fun! Shame the recruits can’t be AI controlled to be called in to help.
They could have made Aiden the main character adding this another option of playing as many people from public in the game itself! That would have been great
This is an example of a good DLC, Villain that’s bad but good, adds new gameplay elements, redo’s old mechanics into DLC, bringing back fan favourites and an actually decent price Btw the gameplay elements are Aidens gun bonus and Fixer Contracts for Wrench
I like the way London looks, but man the gameplay in this particular title is SOOOOO dated. The AI are pretty static, the missions are really lame and boring with zero intensity, the chase scenes are devoid of any consequences or proper damage models that make you afraid to crash, and the shooting mechanics look really flimsy. Not to mention that all of the melee attacks seem to have the exact same animation playing over, and over, and over again for every takedown. Seems like this game would get REALLY repetitive are just a couple hours of play.
They used a lot more mocap in Legion for Aiden with the same dude who voices him (Noam Jenkins) so checks out that he looks different (apart from the obvious beard) due to that , IMO he def looks closer to Noam. Wrench's actor (Shawn Baichoo) also did some mocap work, I noticed with his model as well that he was tweaked a lil from WD2 with more similarities to said actor. ( There's a Behind-The-Scenes video floating around on youtube somewhere for Bloodlines where they show mocap work in a couple clips).
I feel like the whole watch dogs series was underrated compared to other games especially legion legion is a decent game I feel like it gets hated too much

It also looks stunning
Yea it was an awesome concept and they tried to take it as far as resources would allow, but I feel like the "recruit anyone" idea was a mile wide and an inch deep, because there were no underlying personalities to care about, just a bunch of drones. @@jayveeeee Theres a few other ones available too, one where you control a spider-mech destroying a section of chicago with objectives, and one that just goes full psychedelic with bright colors and bouncing along absurdly huge flowers, the one I assume you're talking about is just one of 3.
I literally bought the game with aiden just to not play the actual singleplayer at all
The single player felt boring in my option. Everyone is talking about how good the game is WITH the DLC, but tbh without the DLC, the game felt boring.
12:20 If they do make another game I want them to go back to the roots of what made WD 1 work so well.
Aiden is what made us love Watch Dogs to begin with.
Took you good while to acknowledge this. This made watch dogs legion for me. Still kinda like the first one more tho
Any moment Aiden isn’t in his regular coat is a moment wasted
Speaking of changed character models, the one that drove me crazy was Talion in ME: Shadow of War. In Shadow of Mordor he was a good looking guy but in the second game a Neanderthal got slipped in there somehow.
I understand what they were trying to do, and I welcome and encourage experimentation. But experiences like this are so much better with an actual characters with real stories, not randomly generated avatars.
I know and that's why I said it needed to be a sequel to aiden to finish his story tbh
1:42 the end of the sponser
i enjoy play all watch dogs ,1st is masterpiece , 2nd is fun ,3rd is cool, but i agreed , imagine trilogy of aiden pearce i believe this would be more successful than 2 and 3 🔥🔥🔥🔥
You know, I thought so too at first playthrough, but later realized that the gimmick of the game is the Pokémon style collecting of agents, finding new ones when they die, using a wide variety of powers/approaches to finish missions, etc. And having great individual characters kind of cuts all that out.
I remember Iraq in the original watchdogs. Dude was scary
My only complaint is that Aidan runs slower than his animation
when i got the season pass i’ve mostly used only the season pass operatives 😂
your videos bring me comfort that i cannot describe dude.
Really had a great time with this game, the bloodline dlc was actually better than the main story.
Yo, I actually really liked legion the gameplay is really fun the way you can go about missions and what not. The best way to play is on resistance mode. It's really cool and a lot harder. Just way more immersive in general.
Always feel like all 3 games were 75 percent complete all good games but man just wish they had some more time to add a bit more wish publishers would let devs say the games are finally complete all the bugs have been squashed the game is fully polished as we are satisfied with man I one day would like to know if any dev out there was able to finish they’re dream game at the certain period
I unironically forgot this game existed and I played the first 2 games so much
Aiden lost a step with his old age.... 😔
I can't have been more agreed! Wrench si another great character for the camping.
They should have made him the protagonist, it would have been such a good game if the dlc was actually the main game
Can't have a cool white male as the lead in today's generation of games, or someone might ge offended in bird people land.
@@billywashere6965 i guess...
I UNDERSTOOD THAT REFERENCE LOL 3:52. Love me some Mass Effect

The ad was actually called
bloodlines smooth.
Hahahaha the drone comment gave me a good laugh.
I still can't get over the jacket animation. Watch dogs 1 had so much better clothing physics
They could have made Aiden the main character adding this another option of playing as many people from public in the game itself! That would have been great
Despite the dlc’s story being such a mess, the part in Aiden’s mind had me jaw dropped the whole time
Truly a good reference from Ubisoft team, bravo
9:03 Ubisoft does not know how to make villains anymore.
Me: Only in Far Cry.
The gunslinger ability reminds me of the destiny 2 gunslinger ability. They probably took it from that tbh
I hated how the camera kept centering while driving in Legion, it made my blood boil, and the worst part is you can't even turn that shit off!
Small detail that i dislike in Legion is "the epic coat physics was gone"
This is an example of a good DLC, Villain that’s bad but good, adds new gameplay elements, redo’s old mechanics into DLC, bringing back fan favourites and an actually decent price
Btw the gameplay elements are Aidens gun bonus and Fixer Contracts for Wrench
good DLCs improve the base game too
@@Loquacious_Jackson yup they sure do!
I just bought the ultimate on sale for 23 dollars on the series x n it looks amazing n his voice is better then the rest, playing the game with him.
YES MY COMMENTS ON THIS DIDNT GO UNNOTICED!!!!
In all seriousness I'm sure many people asked for it aside from me but I wanted this so bad!!!
Love the first WD, but even Aiden can't made this playable.
He sounds like he's doing a batman impression all the time
Ubisoft Montpelier made Zombi, which is set in London as well
They used a lot more mocap in Legion for Aiden with the same dude who voices him (Noam Jenkins) so checks out that he looks different (apart from the obvious beard) due to that , IMO he def looks closer to Noam.
Aiden pierce dressed up as John wick is clean
0:40 imagine you a baby being born and all you hear from your parents is “tch another common”
Since Aiden is in every game if they ever make a watchdogs 4 they should put him as the main playable character next again
Ahh yes, they SEE you, totally nothing to do with you firing an unsuppressed assault rifle in their general vicinity.
I feel like the whole watch dogs series was underrated compared to other games especially legion legion is a decent game I feel like it gets hated too much
Make sure E3 settings on!
12:16
Out of context is just something else
I would love Ubisoft to make watch dogs one remake or watch dogs game with Aiden Pearce as the main character again
Great video! I want to jump into this game but I watched and played a little of it, and I don't know if I liked it. I liked WD 1 and 2, tho I prefered 1's story, so I hope the DLC is good. Cheers! 😄
thanks for watching dude! that's fair :) definitely not for everyone
@@jayveeeee I really want to give it a go tho, I think that the play as anyone can be a good mechanic if done good; and some people involved in this game was developed games that I really liked, as FC2. PS: Thx for the heart. 🙂
I really like Watch Dogs Legion, i don’t think it’s as good as Watch Dogs 2, but its definitely still worth a playthrough
low key i despise WD2. It was way too playful. Great gameplay but L story.
@@khaoss4024 yea loved the setting, lighting, gameplay but when it comes down to dialogue and story is where it falls apart a bit, it felt too unrealistic and the way the main characters spoke was like 12-13 year olds trying to make an adult joke and be “edgy”, was weird and was cringey at times but overall pretty enjoyable game.
Couldn't stand legion, way to trendy.
At 7:38 when Aiden said "materiel recovery" ma-tear-e-el is the correct way to say it. Materiel and material are two different words.
The word "materiel" is a word I think meaning "military equipment" or something along those lines. Like the Barrett anti materiel rifle. It's built to take out military equipment.
french
When he runs it looks like they reused the animation not knowing that they run slower in this game so if you really look closely it’s like he’s running on ice
challenge for you. play the entire game as that slow ass old lady. you have to do it from start to finish, when able to be her of course. but from the moment you can, you have to do the whole assssss game
I miss Aiden's voice
It's so nostalgic hearing it
WD Legion base game doesn’t really deserve the hate it gets though. Ubisoft tried a different approach. In a world that’s full of games with a single character that’s built up for you to connect with, they decided, hey let’s give this a bash & as a result, it actually isn’t so bad. It also looks stunning
Yea it was an awesome concept and they tried to take it as far as resources would allow, but I feel like the "recruit anyone" idea was a mile wide and an inch deep, because there were no underlying personalities to care about, just a bunch of drones. I felt more like a villain sending henchmen to do my bidding than I felt like an "every man" trying to step up to save my city.
@@thevoxdeus they should've kept the leveling system and had it similar to XCOM's. That would be a game changer. You'd actually care more about your high level operatives. Overall I still enjoy the mechanic though. The Deep Profiler is pretty innovative.
Playing as characters, who you don't know. Isn't fun, I want a mature, adult, and fully develop character from the base game. Like Aiden. Not some teenager adult, and a fucking old grandma
@Earnem "isn't fun"...imagine stating your opinion as fact. Personally I found Aiden to be boring af and I enjoyed recruiting my own characters with their own backstory I can make up in my head. Not everyone likes the same things.
@@thedopeson Aiden was interesting, with his troubled but his best efforts with his sibling and nephew.
And he had a personality, but was shattered when he was overprotective, and serious.
First Watch Dogs is still the best, I played through it like 5 or 6 times
I loved the video! Your WD content is great! You should try Yakuza 0 sometime, its an amazing game!
i like playing watchdog legion more after the bloodline dlc release now that i can recruit and play as aiden pearce from the start of watch dog legion instead of recruit npc.😂
Would that make Legions worth in your opinion?
@@acewolfgang276 Yes. Without the dlc it is fun too i tend to play as one character so i don't feel like recruiting npc
Yep. I didnt identify with a concept so sci-fi as an inteligente mon-khey. With Aiden i might play it.
Being aiden in the main game is the best experience in my opinion
