Love your videos, reminds of growing up in the UP as a kid on K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base. Used to fish all those virgin lakes with a Red Devil spoon. Looking to return and Fly Fish as a adult on my bucket list.

Great stuff as always, how does the camera handle focusing underwater in the outex case? I noticed you rack focus underwater, you doing that by manually or using autofocus?
It’s a learning process for sure. I’ve had it for about 8 months and used it for a couple dozen days on the water. I really like it. I just have to get better. I do it both ways. The Autofocus on the Sony I’m using works surprisingly well. Most of the tutorials I watch say it’s best to pull manual focus, my opinion is, that’s only true if your physical abilities are better than the camera’s. Lol
@@darkwaters5217 how hard is it rack focus with the outex case on? I can’t imagine rack focusing without being able to see the focus peaking :D
@@TheFlyFishingFilmmaker it’s tough if you can’t see the monitor. However they make a case that supports external cables so you can have one. The physical focusing part is easy, but you’re right, you can’t see the screen when underwater.
