I never knew why a lot of people used to hate previous HP games... They might not be the best games ever made but there's a lot of things that they do better than Hogwarts Legacy, and this one has the advantage of being released +10 years later.
@@ArthurFernandes-rd5pk i.e. interaction with hogwarts npcs. In Hogwarts legacy looks like all of them are just inmaterial shadows (unless those ones you're supposed to talk to)
@@LucasDorado19 I agree with you here because the npc would attack you if you hit them with a spell which would trigger a duel. Teachers would also take out their wands and kick you out if you cast a spell on them
Hang on, people hated HP games? Except of Harry Potter 7-8 which were Call of Wizardry: Magic Warfare, people loved those games a lot, especially first 3.
@@aleksapetrovic6519 I agree, but I heard a lot of "Hogwarts Legacy is finally the first good HP game" when I really liked 2 and 3 for PS2, and even 5 and 6, keeping in mind that they were made a lot of years ago
@@LucasDorado19 probably said by people that only played the ps1 first harry potter game and stayed with that, not knowing there are ps2 hp games like 1, 2 and 3.
@@ThomasP95 I'd like to disagree with you there. The books leave a lot of it to our own imagination, only to later be realised in the movies. Gotta remember that the original source, JkR was involved with the movies which was used in the games, however not with Hogwash Legacy.
The points are too small in the great hall.. almost not noticeable. I like the way the Great Hall Doors opened better in 2007 for some reason. Also, WHAT DID THEY DO TO THE STAIRS....
I played order of the phoenix on PS2 and I still think it's superior to legacy just by looking at this comparison. might actually buy order of the phoenix if it's on x360 or ps3 store
I kind of agree too because in order of the phoenix you could attack a teacher and they would kick you out of class or attack a student and that would trigger a duel with Hogwarts legacy you can't do any of that
I also liked how the spells involved using the analog sticks in a certain pattern to cast spells instead of holding right trigger and pressing either y x a or b
It's curious how, in spite of different visions, instances of synergy in the architecture still exists between both depictions, even outside the iconic locales. For such an old and lower budget game Phoenix certainly holds its own impressively well. Also I hope whoever redesigned the staircase for Hogwartz Legacy got charged for a felony.

I think The staircase looks still The best in Order of The Phoenix .
same
They dropped the balls hard with the grand staircase. Even the old PS2 games did it better

The architectural differences are pretty insane. I wonder if there’s a lore reason why things like the grand stair case is so different.
I think that according to canon the Castle changes to suit the current staff and students. Maybe the design changes reflect different generations.
old game is base on the movie, new on the books
@@patryk5478 rather both.

order of the phoenix would have been perfect if it had a decent camera
I wish they did the stairways the same

The npcs density is much much higher. You can talk to students, point wand etc. Legacy has no interactivity with npcs
@@samuraibruga9177 hopefully a mod comes out soon that makes the npcs better

That staircase in Hogwarts Legacy is a crime. How is that possible the old PS2 games did it better??
Past future versus future past... Ironic
Great analysis
you gotta do prisoner of askaban
so annoying what camera in Phoenix so far from Harry
