Originally, I thought that it was because of the whole "One-Winged Angel" nickname, and we all know what Bayo does to angels. Still, this is WAY funnier.

Umm, Bayo...might want to tread lightly with that mom PTSD of his. The first time got the earth so close to destruction that the PLANET had to defend itself.
Well technically, the first canonical time Sephiroth showed an interest in his mother in the timeline was Chapter 5 of the First Soldier I think where Sephiroth just shows Glenn and the gang a picture of Lucrecia and asks, “Do you know my mum? Hojo says her name is Jenova.” And he was only sad when the P-0’s didn’t know her 🤓

She's lucky she was fighting Sephiroth. If she'd used that taunt on Batman, she'd get a hearty slap and "My parents are deeeeeeeeeaaaaaadddd!!!"

Batman's plot armor is a fight in and of itself.
@@LokiToxtrocityBatman is the real "Nah id win" if the script is on his side NEVER disbelieve in victory (and I personally like this it's kinda funny)
Good ending: Beyo feels bad that he is an orphan, adopts him by technicality and helps be better.
Bad ending: Sephiroth gets very angry at Bayo using that move against him, goes into Safer form and uses Supernova 500 times in a row

Bad ending: ...and then Bayonetta summons Sin Gomorrah, absolutely destroying him.
Both the endings depend on her + she'd just dodge all of his attacks in the worst case. In the best case, those wouldn't even scratch her once delivered upon.

If this was how it worked then bayonetta would be like 3/4 of the roster’s worst matchup lol
Yeah, I think there's only one and a half characters in the entire roster who still have a named mother by the end of their games. Ness (who the taunt is still effective against because he actually gets debuffed if he goes too long without calling her), and Lucina (who has basically every possibility depending on player choices; the most hilarious in this context is probably a female Robin who's present in the same fight).

Sephiroth is Op AF but when it comes to things like his Origin or his Mother, he’s sensitive. Hell, he even felt hurt when Areith said he’s Wrong( basically said his whole existence is wrong.)😢 like he kind of subtly cringed when she said that.
Well, Sephiroth is delusional enough to believe Jenova is his mother despite actually being Lucretia's... but his father is Hojo and that just horrible.
