The pain of losing a parent is unexplainable. I lost my dad over 11 years ago, and I'll never get over it. I think about him every day. On top of that, all of my closest friends passed away. 2 murdered and one from an overdose. It's really hard to go on after such loss. I still somehow manage to work two jobs, go to school, and be a parent. My heart goes out to people like John Wall who deal with loss and mental health issues. I know the feeling. I haven't tried therapy, but at some point, I will. 🙏🏾❤️
do it bro!! bc as much as we want them to be here forever, they not going to be!! i lost my pops 10yrs ago and STILL have his cell number locked in!! still fortunate to have my mom and her mom (my g~ma)
John Wall story about his momma really got to me man that shit broke my heart. Big respect to him & being able to admit he couldnt be strong when he knew he had to be. Shit make you feel like a lil kid again
It's super crazy that players who were drafted 15 years ago went to LeBron camp, had a whole career, basically retired and he's still playing at the highest level.
John Wall’s still my favorite HS hoopmixtape from back in the day. I used to watch it before every game like I was finna go out there n do the same shit 😂
I rarely comment but gotta say I love this podcast and was hyped to see John Wall. Fastest player with the ball in his hands that I have ever seen on the court. This dude has been my favorite NBA player since I saw his high school mixtape release when I was in middle school. He made me root for the Wizards when I couldn't care less about them before (and after, I am a Jazz fan). Also, one of the greatest dudes off the court you will ever see. Great stuff!
My favorite player ever! Dc legend! He has a ton of love all around DC to this day Used to give his Courtside seats to dads with kids at the game in the nosebleeds. Great guy, most NC guy you'll ever meet
Touching. I like when these podcast talk with players as people and not just athletes. And man, I can relate to being at rock bottom and discovering whose there for you and who are just associates.
man put my boy wall back in the league..and i can relate to them towards the end about losing someone i lost my father and i haven’t been the same it’s still a struggle today.
Losing the 2nd parent is really tough. You focus on taking care of the 2nd parent so much after losing your first parent, but when you lose both, it is a lot of grief, and you really have to focus on the grief more.
Mofo is one of the best one man fast break I've seen. I love it when he avoids the D with a 360 lay-up. Plays hard on defense as well. Word is he is gonna join the Heat.
Love seeing John Wall out here telling his story. But one extra thing, the could have had John, Klay, Brad, and the Greek Freak. They took Jan Vessely and Otto Porter. Mannnnnn!
John Wall made me back to watching NBA religiously after some years but i stayed for one of a kind Joker. Wall having him as top of the mountain player makes it a full circle, very happy about the decisions i've made.
I've been saying this all season. John Wall should be in the league. I'm a Lakers fan and I'd rather have him than Gabe Vincent. John could've been our main playmaker when Lebron rests
I lost my mom a year ago to ovarian cancer and my life hasn’t been the same and I had to go seek help with a therapist and it helped but I have to keep going and enjoying life like she would want me to.. and UD is correct - I can’t remember my mom in the hospital bed but remember the good times as well.
Growing up in Raleigh whole family born and raised John Wall was a real neighborhood hero that’s all everyone knew was John Wall. And in Raleigh basketball is all we know so shi was big seeing him do what he did.
I went to John Wall's hometown Raleigh years ago. I spent a week in Mooresville (suburb) of Raleigh. Me and Sarah(she was from London, England). Raleigh is a real cool town! John Wall was one of my favorite point guards of all time along with Magic,Steph,Isiah,Gus Williams, and Westbrook.
Can’t wait to see Wall back in NBA. King of DC 5ever. I peeped he rocking ‘The Musuem’ hat. 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 He can still help a team win. Stats don’t lie. We all know he should have started OVER Reggie Jackson 22-23 season. 💯👌🏾 Naw UD dougie’n got me weak. 🕺🏾😂😂
One of my favorite players if not the favorite player for me when I was kid starting to watch ball. It was at that moment I started becoming drawn to slashing playmakers
Yes, John Wall should be in the league...but he should also do stuff like this more often. Absolutely loved this podcast! Thank you all for being honest. ✊🏽 This is OG shit, frfr!
Praise God your mom got better, but damn I was pulling for you to come to NC State. Watched you play at Word of God when I was living in Raleigh. Somebody sign this man
Great Interview!!! Bring in Wall and Boogie to the Culture......... that'll take us over the top. They have what we lacking. I've been saying it. Come on OG! Make it happen
Really miss John Walls furious full court dribbles with that one armed left hand dunk he'd do cause he could jump like crazy off his right leg. John Wall is an OG for sure.
Listening to John Wall and Carmelo talk you wonder where all those crazy narratives come from. Melo, Wall, Cousins and IT should still be on a roster 🔥💯
