12:40 for those on free trial I found an easy way to get the material is to get on a crafter and equip the spirit ring, equip some other jewelry that would give battle material, and just quick synth a lot of stuff.
I'm on the book stage right now- the most tiring part of them is the fact that I'm repeating so much for each book. Would be nice if they went back and just asked for the total poetics and gave you a list to work through of all the dungeons/level 45-50 fates etc rather than making you run back and forth through the areas so many times. I know the relic steps are supposed to be hard, but the HW and SB grinds have been far more interesting!

I doubt I’ll EVER do this again, especially those dreadful books haha😂 but thank you so much for the walkthrough!!!
I love the guide! It makes the grind less intimidating with preparations and your guide. Zodiac Weapons is my least fave because of how grindy it is compared to other relics, but I might try doing this.
This guide is amazing. Simple, to the point. Doesn't go off on random tangents and is very easy to follow. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Please do the ones for the Expansions!! (Please?)
This is a good guide that is helping me through the grind. I just completed the light grind by running Vale. I got EXTREMELY lucky that Vale had gained bonus light on my second run through, so I completed that step just under an hour.
I love this grind i think most ppl begin this grind with the wrong mind set of doing the relic at once. For me it was something fun to do between down time of other things. I do a book a day or a book a week so i don't get burn out . like that i did until now finish 6 arr relics more or less passively.
after 3 months of doing this grind and multiple points where i almost stopped. without this video i couldnt have done it. it makes it seem possible the way this video is edited lmao, all in all great video
A few little hints for people crazy enough to be doing multiple relics (like me). You can gather the 12 Atmas on any job, so long as you have an appropriate level relic equipped. There are 10 ARR relics so that's 120 Atmas you'll need to get, but you can get them all at once if you wish. I just did it with Bard as the ranged attacks make it a lot easier on lower level FATEs. If you have a relic on the light farm or Mahatma farm stage, you can use these relics while doing Alexandrite maps, doing FATEs while trying to get the specific FATEs you might need for the books, or the dungeons you have to do for the Zodiac materials. This can save a fair amount of time if you're planning to do multiple relics. BONUS TIP: you have a chance for Alexandrite to drop from doing FATEs if you're using a relic in the Light farm stage (maybe later stages too?). It's absolutely not an efficient way to farm Alexandrite, but if you're doing FATEs to spawn a specific FATE for books and need to farm Light for another weapon, and need Alexandrite for yet another weapon, it's something to keep in mind. Not mentioned in the video (likely because it's much less efficient) is that Brangwin will offer a repeatable daily quest to run the 50/60/70/80 (at the time of writing) roulette in exchange for one Mysterious Map. If you're doing that roulette anyway, it doesn't hurt to pick up this quest. ALSO: if you're doing Heavensward Anima relics, one of the later steps requires you to gather Singing Clusters. One of the methods (Jrocks mentions this in his Anima relics video) to obtain these is a daily repeatable quest to run the 50/50/70/80 roulette. So if you're doing both relics, you can gain a tiny bit of efficiency by having both of these quests active then doing the roulette. Bonus tip: make sure you're doing the right activity for the right stage! I screwed up and used a Sphere Scroll, with 75 materia when I didn't need to as I got confused over which relic was on which step.
Farming the light made me quit this quest for a while. I wanted it done as fast as possible, so i ran Arum Vale 40 times. That combined with the books burned me out and made me not want to continue. I eventually did, but after that, i swore i was never repeating this one.
foreal it's not worth it at all, my rule for any game if i'm not enjoying the gameplay why bother doing something you don't like for a Achievement/Trophy/(fill in whatever else here). However, many others may like that type of reward but to me it's pointless & a huge waste of time. I rather spend my game time doing something fun I play games for entertainment not for work LOL
@@gardenstateboss I totally agree with you, it's definitely not for everyone. I personally have a long history of completing these type of long, grindy epic/legendary weapons in MMOs, but I enjoy the sense of accomplishment from it - not everyone does though👍
Another tip for the Fate section of the books step. If a fate you are waiting for is just not appearing, go to your home crystal and use the visit another world system. Theres 8 worlds to choose from that you can quickly go peak to see if the fate you need is currently active on one of those worlds.
Part of me was tempted to try and get all the weapons for all 10 classes, but now I feel like I might need to focus down one for the time being after seeing all the steps. Still... Part of me does feel like there could be a touch of overlapping depending on how it is approached. Might not be fully optimal but as someone who is barely starting Shadowbringers at the time of this comment, I feel like there's lots of time to not only get to the newly released Dawntrail, but to also balance that out with working on the Zodiacs (or at least to some extent). Still, this is probably the most straightforward guide I've found and I'll probably be referring back to this video a good number of times. Overall, I like to think I made decent progress (getting all Zehiths thus far). Not perfect, but depending on how deep my sanity goes before shaping, I'll definitely figure out how to multitask everything. It won't be smooth, but it will be a fun challenge regardless. Thank you for the video.
