Actually when it comes to ecosystem Windows is not too bad. Yes they don’t have their own phones but they make sure that windows works well with android phones and even iPhones through their phone link system which also allows you to get messages, calls or notifications from the phone to the desktop.

I disagree! While Windows has improved its animations a lot since W7, MacOS is still quite a bit better imo. Examples include the dock (genie or scale effect minimizing, hover magnification) and window reshaping and snapping. MacOS animations are also a LOT smoother than Windows even on powerful machines, virtual desktop switching has had stuttering issues since it was added on W10 and the transition after opening Mission Control is way more seamless than W11 Task View. MacOS (along with iOS and others) has a whole custom animation engine to make sure things are smooth and pretty; they sweat the small details like animation speed curves and stuff like that since that’s their brand. BlazYT made a great 3min video about it, def recommend checking it out

Yeah they might work but framerates and functionality/speeds will be limited. You dont encounter those driver issues if you buy a certified thunderbolt docking station from a reliable brand like OWC, Satechi, etc... There's even been reports of Dell docking stations infected with malware. This is why MacOS is so protective against connecting peripherals, you can't connect even a USB hub or mouse jiggler without approving the device first as it could carry infected controller firmware.

It has a learning curve, i see frequent unfair reviews of new Macs because the reviewer doesn't know even the basic functions of OSX. But once you know all the functions, you'd be glad and never going back. The most difficult ones are "Shortcuts" a very extended implementation of IF-THEN-ELSE... (works cross devices) and "Automator" a visual and manual scripting of basic tasks, also lets you record and execute tasks using mouse or keyboard input (a very extended macro recorder).
