Final time doesn't matter when you're the only one to complete it
It does matter if the second person is slower tho
It's a world record if you're the first to do it even if it gets bested in the future. It's a big accomplishment

It does matter, though, if someone sees You are doing things slowly and they will attempt to do it faster. It doesn't matter if You just doesn't do it perfect, but it does when You are just clearly slacking.

Imagine if someone finds a way to skip one of the completion percents, invalidating this run and forcing runners to go in with even less equipment.
They would still have to do the run to get the lower percentage logged in, wouldn't they? They'd have to find a skip that doesn't move the run into the nmb category as well. I'd say this record is pretty safe.
@@DERADI30 and yet it isn't now lol. Itemless baldur kills have been discovered (really, really stupid hard trick but not a major glitch), which removes vengeful spirit from the required percentage to beat the game. I managed to get to godhome with the new low% route, but omg doing some bosses with only desolate dive and nail is horrific. Especially flukemarm. I'm convinced flukemarm is gonna end up being harder than any other boss, just because it's so damn tricky to kill them when they're 3 hits with the nail and easily evade the damage zone for DDive, and with bosses like the Radiance, you can more consistently practice for safe/no damage stats
You getting to what actually is the most difficult category felt like one of those "How tough are ya?" memes.

now its even worse now due to monarch wings being skippable, and therefore you cant fight lost kin, meaning the grind is multipiled by about 1.5x

Wow, this was just an amazing video through and through. I loved hearing about each of the different speedrun categories and their nuances. Every runner really deserves praise, and it's just awesome seeing such a cool community with Hollow Knight.
And of course, extreme props to General Milky for being the first to pull off low% Godhome. Sounds corny, but after all the build up, I def did get a little emotional. The fortitude to pull that off is just awesome.

When you said that the hardest boss wouldn't be at the end I instantly got flashbacks of me trying Pantheon of Hallownest with all bindings and always failing at collector. I instantly thought "Of course, it's the collector" and I was right xD

You know, only the first four pantheons count as %, and I did all four of those, so now the only thing left for me to do is Trial of the Fool and I'll have 112 ^-^

Well there is a run even HARDER than low% Godhome and its low% all rooms. So, in order to do it you need to enter ALL ROOMS IN THE GAME without taking any upgrade. If you ask why is it hard, here is why:
1.After beating 4 binding pantheon of hallownest you unlock a door to the land of storms where you claim weathered mask .So you have to beat Poh with all bindings and with low equipment.
2. You have to master the path of pain(at leas untill you get to the last section)
3. You have to get to the Radiance room

If you want to have even less fun, you could do a low% land of storms, but low% godhome ending is still absolutly insane. Congrats to Milky.
wouldn't land of storms be the same as godhome ending but just going and picking up the weathered mask after p5?

@@batturing Land of storms requires doing all pantheons with all bindings iirc. (You can do each binding individually. I haven't done this yet, only beat P5 with no bindings and all other pantheons with each binding complete and it's not unlocked, so I'm pretty sure)

PoP is easily one of the hardest sections in any 2D or 3D games. And I’ve beat Celeste.

there are 2 kinds of people: "doing low% godhome ending is insane!!" and "what about low% godhome ending all bindings/low% godhome delicate flower ending all bindings 🤔"

Has anyone checked if the godhome nail binding would increase the nail damage to 13 on low%? cause if team cherry thought that far ahead about such a weird bug, then they are goated developers.
i mean, all they would have to do is detect what nail you have, if its anything that deals more than 13 (cant remember if the second upgrade does more or not) then set it to 13, otherwise, leave it alone
IIRC nail binding reduces 20% of the damage of the nail and specifically reduces the damage of pure nail to 13 (the same binded coiled nail)

When I watched the intro to the video I was like "this is going to be low% GE isn't it. I've seen General Milky talk about it in #speedrunning, etc". But now, just before going to bed hours later, I realized that low% nmms might actually take the cake. It's a very different kind of difficulty, but the level of difficutly needed to get 6% is very high. I can't honestly say whether low% nmms or low% GE would be harder tbh just because of that fact. Like the absolute insane skill at bossfights that General Milky needed to do that pantheon 5 is like crazy, I've never gotten weathered mask before. But on the other hand the required skip at void heart cutscene is I think actually subpixel perfect.

@@crackedlogic8907 No Main Menu Storage - it's one of the 3 different "glitch levels" for speedrunning. If you speedrun NMG (no major glitches), you can't use major glitches. With NMMS a lot moreis allowed, everything but main menu storage. And with AG (all glitches) everything goes. Regardless, since this video more glitches have been discovered and low%nmms isn't insanely hard anymore. But low% GE is still incredibly difficult and like that should win.

Hey, don't sell yourself short. Everybody starts somewhere. If you really want to do it, keep practicing and eventually you'll reach that point.
I feel you on traitor lord. Watched so many players make it look easy and cool. Was so sad that the only way I could beat him was to cheese him into a corner and just pogo on his head. No honor for the little knight that day.

i wasn't expecting this video to be as entertaining as it was. i'm kinda burnt out on the "speedrun history" type of video, but the way that the video was structured, along with watching that insane collector fight was super entertaining
There should be a full godhome low% fragile flower ending
You need to do the same thing as here but all of the pantheons must be done with all bindings and you must beat every single boss to radiant difficulty; you also need to take the flower and bring one flower to the godseeker

I actually was doing pantheons with old nail and if you put on nail binding it reduces further to four! This can be tested on the baldurs and aspids collector spawns, which should take 4 hits to kill instead of 3.

honestly this sounds super fun, ill probably start running it once i get a good any and 112 time. (good = top 100 prolly tho im super lazy so who knows if ill ever get there) also out of curiosity why did you not metion all bindings godhome low% like i know it doesnt exsist but it would be harder (technically it would make some things easier bc of lifeblood but that definatly does not make up for the pain that is bindings)
Because that doesn't make sense to exist. It isn't a logical speedrun category. Low% Godhome Ending is, All Bindings individual levels are, but not both combined.
