There is a pattern on Ravelry for just the sweater you are wanting to knit. It's called Roy G Biv. You may not want to buy the pattern, but have a look at all the different versions people have made. They are beautiful, and they tell you how much yarn they used. I do hope you join the knitting community. We need you! Knitters take themselves way too seriously. That's why I spend so much time watching crochet podcasts. You all are much more free form, creative and fun! Janet

Ive gone knitting crazy lately too. Ive learnt sooooo many new things. I love it. For small circumference knitting usually double pointed needles are uses or a short cable and short needle tips. (There are regular length and short interchangeable tips) you could look into magic loop to help with doing sleeves too. So many options😊
Thanks for sharing! Yes Ive seen the magic loop technique and might use that on my adult cardi when I do the sleeves! I also actually have some smaller double pointed needles which are 5mm but I took one look at them and they scared me 🤣🤣🤣
@@CraftandaCuppa i was like that with circular needles at first but discovered that they greatly reduce the weight of your work so you dont tire so easily. I precticed with them by knitting a simple circular cowl. I dont use single pointed needles anymore because i love knitting in the round. Wait till you knit your first raglan, you will never look back. Its magical.

That James C. Brett yarn reminds me of Premier Puzzle yarn, one of my favorites.
It works up really soft and slightly fluffy. It's my first time using it and I can't wait to see how it turns out ❤️

Gorgeous yarns. I'm a 3xl and 600g dk or about 500 chunky makes me a good size cardigan. Well done on learning. Your wee cardi looks fantastic. How adorable is the good vibes vest. I used the same yarn for mine. My hands always have to be busy. I've got 3 of your patterns on the go at the moment. Glad you had a brilliant Christmas x

Wow you have done really really well with the knitting, Ive been knitting for years and still at beginner level. I think you are extremely creative and you will be knitting funky jumpers in no time. I do like the crochet ones though. I am a beginner at crochet, but I am going to try your odds and ends jumper 😊
