Tristan is, as Mrs Hall says, "a wonderful boy, with a warm heart, and a good head on his shoulders." He is funny, caring, brave, and a good friend. So excited to see more of his story in the next season!!

You just have to love Tristan. His naughtiness is part of his charm.

Don't know if Tristan is growing up, but he is coming into his own person and definitely growing up.

Callum Woodhouse took over from Pete Davison, and took the character to a whole new level.

Tristan's a lot better than people give him credit for!

I was thinking after watching episode 7 (s3-e7) I feel so close to the Tristan character. I believe we have actually watched him grow up, now his is a man. He definitely has taken us with him on some of his shenanigans, but it all has brought him closer to our hearts. Looking forward already to season 4!!! 💖

I find this program to be absolutely delightful. Siegfried is feeling "out of place" at his own Practice it seems. "Pearls and foie gras" lol.

Once again another wonderful episode I was kind of hoping Christian would have taken a fancy to the barmaid. There's still a chance. Maybe I have missed it but what happened to mrs. Hall's husband? Thanks masterpiece for bringing this program to me and all of us it's such a wonderful story I truly appreciate it.

They are divorced. He came home from the war with PTSD. He became abusive.

Mrs Hall's husband fought in WW1 and came back a very different man. He was hard, and unkind. Alongside this, he also became an alcoholic. Mrs Hall left him, and went to work for Farnon. All we know of her husband at this point is that he is still drinking. Mrs Hall hasn't seen him, but Edward (her son) saw him at some point and passed along that information. Hope this helps!

@@ninadukette3340 they are not divorced. She told Diana she was a married women. They are separated. I imagine it was difficult and expensive to get a divorce.

Well, he's beginning to take a bit of pride in himself and change from a big boy into a young man. We await developments. (True confession: I rather like Florence Pandhi and since this character in real life did marry, I sort of hope Florence reappears later.)

Tristan and Florence run the risk of outshining James and Helen. What a lovely couple. Oh, and one observation - it is a requirement for the ingenues to have dimples - or are the dales rife young dimple-clad women?
