- Federal investigators have broken up a “well-organized and wide-ranging conspiracy” to steal valuables from the mail. The alleged conspiracy involved a supervisor and six other workers at the U.S. Postal Service processing and distribution center in Providence, which handles all incoming and outgoing mail for Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts.

That's a day's work in Chicago, but multiply it by 2,000 employees stealing and not delivering your mail and still nothing is done. They even rent storage space and don't pay the bill and people have bought it in an auction and find hundred of mail bags and a lot not even gone through to take the money. It's all in a day's work.

I work as a driver for Amazon and we would never get away with this, not even once.

People have you seen who's been delivering your mail. You used to have to pass a Government test. Now you can walk in and they basically will hire you. It used to be a great job with benefits. Now it's terrible plus no one wants to work that hard anymore in the weather.
Few years back signed up for post office daily notifications in e-mail with pictures of mail I would be receiving that day

They also target online seller packages left at the drop box as well. Always get your packages scanned and get the receipt.

The very reason I do not trust any mail workers. It’s happened to me in Texas, they especially target bags with prescriptions.. 😢
Never send cash. What were they going to do with business checks? You can’t cash those, only deposit.

That's because their Senator is a violent criminal and nobody did anything about it and it was swept underneath the carpet, even the police handled him like a Princess with a disability and coddled him and asked him please if they could arrest him and he said no and they said well, we have to. Kissing and hugging him the whole time because they have respect for the public.
I have no problem with the government investigating breaches of the public trust; it is what we expect. I would be much happier if they focused more on public officials.
Same think happens everywhere now! I put some "faux" cards in my local mailbox, happy Bday all over it and a fake card (one you get from AARCP), and THEN I put in a note that I caught them. But obviously.... Anyway, I mail to myself and that's how I know it's stolen!

I remember seeing a label that says. "Fine and / or imprisonment for tampering with lock, box, or contents." Reminds me of the theft of Lufthansa at John F. Kennedy Airport.
My mom sent out a bunch of cards to people a few years ago for Easter or something and they all had money in them and they were all stolen I think she sent him to seven different people in seven different addresses and only one person got them. There is theft in San tan valley Arizona as well at their post office.

Ordering metals via mail you are asked to pay by ck. You get metals after ck clears. If/when your order disappears you go through many hoops to prove order never arrived. They have your money. If they let you use credit card you can easily dispute charges.
I bet if you apply for a job they'll say there are no openings..how many just got fired and arrested?
Wonder if my rebate from a company I did business with was one of those checks!!!! We had a tracking number…. One minute it was in the mail, next it was at the post office, then it sent to a different p.o. so we traveled an hour away to retrieve it, but we get there and it was gone!!!! We have had more problems getting our ‘personal’ last few years then in all 55 years of having mail delivered!!! I wonder if the envelope had a address with the name ‘rebate center’ on it! We travel to see our youngest and we can’t get mail sent from our northern bank to Florida….. and we can’t find out why! When my hubby inquired he gets ‘some’ answer, when I inquired I was told by the p.o. assistant, ‘we don’t guarantee mail delivery! What the heck? That’s your JOB!!!!
When my grandson b-day came in April I text him and said we decided that since we would all be together in a couple of weeks I’d bring it with me! The moto for the post office is no long true! 2-3 years of this bologna is more than enough!!!!
