I still want to visit Nigeria despite everything because I genuinely feel like it's still worth it. My mom visited and she loved it.
Great interview! When it comes to real estate in Nigeria, most developers and homebuyers tend to ignore landscaping and interior designing. It's important to make living spaces inviting yet functional and indoor and OUTDOOR-friendly.
So true @ ignore landscaping and interior designing! I will show you more of Toyin’s work later this month.
Yes, I agreed. 👍👍
Yes ,I hate this and that fake grass ,0 landscaping
Thanks! Being particular about the finishing of our properties is how we deliver luxury homes.
@@powerviewgroup190 Don't forget landscaping man, I don't understand the all concrete and fake grass,no trees
I don't know if I have ever seen or heard a smarter Nigerian, and I have been looking for nearly 50 years. I have lived in Southern California for almost 25 years now and yearning to return to Nigeria for a while. This guy has told the truth, and I need to analyze this information and make a decision on whether to return.
I needed this...as I'm preparing for my trip, and I am faced with every challenge on this end...I have set my resolve to just keep going!
You got this! I completely understand @every challenge!!
am coming soon to start n invest in real estate
I hate to comment outside of the topic but Mr. Toyin is a magnificent man. Handsome, engaging, thoughtful, humble, and clear on his purpose.
Thank you
Price gouging is a big problem , toyin please talk about this
Yes, true
The tension between efficiency and fairness has always been a question when addressing price gouging.
However, as a brand looking to be in business for the long run, the issue of reputation comes to play.
For me, that serves as a moderator against "price gouging" forces.
Also, I believe that the people intending to purchase these luxury properties, in general, have an idea of what the value proposition should be.
This in turn will give a sense of discernment as to what the property worth holds in regards to pricing.
Thank You!
To add to your point, due to the lack of standards, regulations and structure in most industries and sectors in Nigeria, price gouging is and will continue to be a problem. Most traders capitalise on the ignorance of their client base to charge whatever they think those clients can afford. And unfortunately, this is a problem that will not be rectified overnight due to poverty levels and greed amongst most of these individuals.
However, the sectors Powerview operate in (Real Estate, Logistics & Gas) tend to see less of this because the property prices and other services we offer, tend to be driven by the buyer market and consumers. They dictate what value and worth they expect in certain areas, and we develop and price with that in mind. Our clientele base specifically, tends to more sophisticated with a clear idea of what it is they want and are looking for, and the premium they are willing to attach to it. And this is where we tend to add value. If you visit our properties, for example, you may tend to place a higher price on it, than we sell for. This is why we use the phrase “affordable luxury”. We understand that given the trajectory of the industry, we need to stand out from the competition from a price and quality standpoint.
You really good at this!! I love how you make people feel comfortable. Unfortunately, I really tried to concentrate on the interview but your glow just keeps me slipping away a few times..Well done princess🙌🇳🇬😊✌👍
Thank you for your kind words. You better rewatch and pay attention! 😂
A very informative and educative piece Iveoma. Good job.
Please can u do a piece to educate nigerians living abroad intending to retire to nigeria for good. I am talking about elderly Nigerians who just want to come back and live a quiet life in nigeria.
Thanx in anticipation.
Interesting video topic idea 💡 Let me think about it.
Thank You!
In Nigeria there is no trust. Its unfortunate. Hopefully it gets better soon 😀
Finger crossed 🤞 @ get better.
Correct but a lot of us are still moving forward in the business world..
Don't be discouraged
We believe with a well laid out structure of transparency, similar to how we operate, Nigerians can learn red flags and note when they are dealing with questionable brands. But we agree it's a work in progress.
I watched mostly all ur videos. U are doing a good job
Another great interview @iveoma. But it will be more inspiring for people watching if you can actually show these thriving businesses .That will show what's achievable through belief and hard work.
@mba okpa-Iroha Thank You!
What do you mean? Should I have shown a bit of his property in this video ?

Currently focal on Lagos but partnered with a trusted brand who understands our vision and can deliver our standard service for private construction anywhere within Nigeria.

Imagine selling a property you planning to buy and have not bought yet and making a huge profit out of it, Nigerians I fear una!!! Sometimes I wonder how God created us.
If you talk to entrepreneurs around the world this is common practice LOL
That's wild to me!

LOL how many ads are on this video?
@@IveomaMedia About 5 if am not mistaken.
okay I will take some off then.
@@IveomaMedia No!! Let it be if it benefits you.
Umm, he sold a property he didn't own yet? Is that supposed to instill buyer/investor confidence? 🤔
Good observation, id like to point out that the key differentiator with this was transparency.
The investor in question was a previous client who had made much smaller investments in our gas business, so a level of confidence had been built from those business transactions
The investor understood the opportunity and was well aware, that the land had not been acquired, hence the price we offered the property to him, thus reflecting the risk he was taking.
It's called leverage.
Its done all d time in finance n real estate n many other industries
hi
Hi!
I want to move to Nigeria. Any ideas how I can make money in dollars or pounds online while there?
First step Google how people in your profession or skill set are making money online. After that it should be easy for you to figure out what you can do.
@@IveomaMedia Thanks so much Iveoma!
D
Don't be fooled by the development during COVID-19 in Nigeria.
Fear, high stock market (cashing out retirement accounts) and bureau-d-change exchange rates drove those property investments/developments.
People cashed out retirement funds to build a house during covid?? I would love a link to the article that backs up your statements.
@@IveomaMedia iveoma you have no idea what Nigerians can do. No one write articles about this within Nigerian communities because they don't share personal information.
You leaved in the U.S and understood how hourly incomes and savings goes....where else will they get the money from....otherwise even refinance their homes due to low rates to pull out cash for this achievement goals in African peoples mind.
I completely understand what you mean at no information about Nigerian community. But you stated your opinion so strongly that I thought there was evidence you could point to, Even if you could point to Americans doing the same thing. Like I know quite a few Americans who bought houses in the US during covid too.
Tbh I do agree at exchange rates bit, when exchange rate started dropping I knew people who made investments in Nigeria.
@@IveomaMedia Don't know about people building houses with it, but no penalties incurred if you do due to COVID...
