Tub filled in what, 2 minutes? Huge agitators and clean clothes. Easy to repair. If youve got one, keep it in good repair.

it’s a pretty vigorous *getter done* Robust waterfill. So in a spin cycle …when it sprays in, the force of water is strong enough to power the water more thoroughly through the clothes as it spins. It looks like a lot of…but I don’t believe, while it is a strong flow, it is still not an astronomical amount of water, because it doesn’t really go for all that long.
Even though it is filling in like Niagara Falls, it won’t exceed the 3.2 cu - 3.6 cu tub capacity, during wash and rinse cycles, water usage remains pretty conservative. Washing machine capacity back then is pretty close to today’s Speed Queen models.

Just like our UK Hotpoint top loaders and twin tubs. I never liked the spiral agitator though, too much slapping about and low roll over.

Sounded like the program dial was directly driven by the main motor during the wash/rinse & spin, but when it stopped/paused between the wash/rinse & spin-drain it turned on its own motor to keep it turning,

Oh Gso You just made my day!!! Like I told you with your last video of this machine, this is my all time favorite washer... I always loved these Hotpoint washers and even owned one for a short time but, mine had the filter pan that went over the agitator... Did you do work on this machine since the last video of this??? because it sounds quieter and the agitators seems to be moving faster??? Thanks again for making my day and making this video, Take care and have a great weekend...... Bob

There's one thing that the newest top washers do that's so dumb. If you want warm water, it adds just cold water for 20 seconds, then hot water for 20 seconds, and it repeats until it's full, or if you want just hot water, it adds mostly hot water until it's near the top where it suddenly starts adding just cold water.
