What I'm doing now is shoot 4K 4:3 (4000x3000) and stabilize using GyroFlow so the video is not cropped. Then you can switch to a square 1:1 or vertical 10:16 or 9:16 without losing much information. As a side note, always use Wide lens instead of linear and let GyroFlow correct the lens distortion, that way you crop much less.
You shoot 4:3 but with the camera vertical mounted? Also how You change aspecto radio on gyroflow? It wont convert automaticaly to 16/9 when export? Thanks
@@gonzafpv2843 with the new GoPro 11 I just shoot 8:7 which is almost square crop in post and now I use the Gyroflow plugin for Davinci resolve so there's no need for transcoding. If you use Gyroflow App just change the output resolution before exporting.

Hahahah grandma is faster than DHL! Well if you want to use reelsteady Don't get the 7, only reelsteady the 6 is better than 8 imho, cheaper, smaller and it supports easily ND filters, hero 8 has a good stabilization and supports reelsteady, so maybe it's the best action cam for your use case

Question- why can’t you just use vertical mode on the gopro. Lock the screen vertical (just to make sure it doesn’t change orientation by mistake). And then use hypersmooth built in. Then you have a 9:16 video already stabilized right out of the camera with no cropping needed at all. I just did it and it work. Why use extra steps in here?
Hypersmooth only smoothes out the tiny jitters while Reelsteady can smooth out the medium to larger movements giving maximum cinematic smoothness. Look at the comparisons for yourself. See 'GoPro Hero 10 Hypersmooth 4.0 vs. Reelsteady Go'.

@@Rimzler yes it flys so well even with a larger 1550 and fullgopro, so much control compared to a 2.5", it's perfect for windy days to make videos form outside to inside locations. with naked gopro it's even more fun, waiting for some 1000 mah 6s now to lower the weight, thanks a lot for the go 6 version

Però rimane comunque una genialata e una tips non indifferente
Anche per i video orizzontali butta giù un botto, alla fine uno tampona in premiere quando esporti, però guadagni un sacco di Fov e ha un bel look, tanto i video corti non li caricavo su RUclips comunque, solo su reels quindi aveva poco senso averli in 16:9

Is it not possible to convert other cameras such as Insta360go2 to a format that reelsteady will accept, or Gyroflow even? Seems like so many hoops to jump through for these stupid vertically orientated platforms.
When u wrote this comment it was not possible, but now Gyroflow 1.0 is out and they made it possible to do almost anything! You can stabilize a insta go 2 like reelsteady and in whatever aspect ratio u want! I'm on it with video coverage!

The vertical orientation might actually be better for reelsteady and fpv... less of a drastic effect on the yaw axis.
