  • There are many factors leading to a decrease in revenue for the industry that's only a decade old.

That’s one way to look at it or maybe it’s government overtaxing the industry. Also I find it amazing how they’re looking at the revenue cannabis brings but not Amazon 🤔

It’s because a lot of other states are following suit and their state isn’t the only place legalizing the purchase of it.

I believe one of the reasons, Recreational Marijuana is in a lot more states now. You no longer have to go to Colorado to use recreational weed legally, you can use it in 20 other states.

Good The tax that they charge at the marijuana shops is absolutely outrageous if you purchase on the recreational side. The tax cost just as much as the products dose. So in retrospective you’re getting ripped off.

retail marijuana isn't even 10 years old. it's extremely short sighted, a common trait these days, to judge the success of an industry that has just begun. look at the light bulb, radio, television, look how long it took for these things to become common place after the novelty wore off. Industries evolve, marijuana is not going away.

I know a lot of Gen z people use cannabis once and said “this is stupid, why did they make it legal? It’s so stupid to put someone in jail over this”.
Once the stigma is gone. They don’t use it again. Look around. A lot of gen z don’t give a shit about cannabis.
People just don’t use it a lot. Millennials are pushing 40 years. They have children and careers. They get high once a year. Lol.

Actually, who cares what government wants or needs at this point. If politicians did their jobs correctly, they would not rely on false and misleading (not to mention unrealistic) revenue projections in an unproven industry that only exists at the state level. This is a common plant that is easy to grow. Stop paying into their system. Watch as the industry levels out when people just take the time to grow and swap. They will see this as another glutted bubble of supply (with a limited shelf life) and little demand. No big tax gains. Industry and prices flatline. Companies are forced out as the greedy leave for better pastures. All the taxes they levied against this product are crazy. Don't pay into it...grow!

  • @Skyy_415

Overtaxed and saturated ..just like in California. Nothing new in the industry for the consumers. It's just sales focused. Too many rules around ideas of lounges etc. There's nothing like that around in a city like san Francisco for instance..after prop 64 everything came to a stop, ideas and companies out the window, it's also big Marijuana that has the money but also short sighted. So lame ,

    Fix the culture

Take care of your community not just yourselves. I work in the Marijuana industry in Colorado Springs CO, my experience has been an extremely tough one. Navigating through alot of unchecked mental health,
Sketchy business practices and discrimination; the managers and owners have so much damn work to do.

Dispensary weed is HORRIBLE! i grow my own because i am sick of wasting money on unsmokable ditch weed. They pay their growers nothing and focus more on selling a cheap ounce than a quality bud. This is great news, bring that price down so people can afford it as the medicine it is. It wasn't put on this earth to be a cash grab. Nobody cares about those coming for a cash grab when we have people in prison for the same thing. At some point you are going to have to eat the loss and keep on meeting demand. Best you can do..
