I thought is was creative. Interesting lighting. Too bad it was not given more attention.

Thanks for your review! it's a guilty pleasure film, dumb but the eye candy is pretty nice.

Yeah, you're right. What did the most influential director of the 70s ever do? 2 movies in the top 10 of all-time (Godfather 1 & 2) and just for an added bonus, The Conversation and Apocalypse Now. (Both nominated for best picture) it wouldn't matter if he never made another good movie again. I don't expect much from men in their 70's and 80's, let alone to make another groundbreaking movie.

    Coppola's 70s run
    The Godfather (1972)
    The Conversation (1974)
    The Godfather Part II (1974)
    Apocalypse Now (1979)
An all time run, 1st ballot Hall of Famer

Rumble Fish, Bram Stoker’s Dracula and OFTH are all excellent post-Apocalypse Coppola films.

FFC lives across the street from one of my sisters - a quiet neighbor. That's all I've got on this one.

The 'thing' most males don't understand or can even compute... is that Coppla revels in making films for boys.
His greatest successes are all boy-centric, or machismo entrenched tales. Films that would've enthralled him as a kid.
Films which filled a void in men during the seventies and still ( slightly less so now ) continues to do so today.
Try getting a woman to repeatedly watch any of his most praised works.
They just don't appeal at all... to the 'vast majority' of women.
Apart from these 70's highlights, 'the rest of his body of work' is just average.
Competent, as he knows how to harness talent ( artisans ) behind the camera.
Although, when he gets off his machismo horse... he's just a fluffy bunny.
He flounders when he isn't making ( hard-boiled ) b-movies genre pictures... as all of his generation,
of filmmakers were prone to do. That's why his last film will be a sci-fi adventure.
Rounding out his b-movie reimagining oeuvre.
'One From The Heart' shows his complete lack of innate talent for conventional ( non b-movie ) story telling.
It's an interesting failure, or at least compelling...because of the talent he brought to the project.
But it's important to realise it's only compelling because of that talent, not Coppla himself.
He's the reason why it fails.
