Question: You said that you do 3 rows in each color, but in the video, you change color after each row. Please let me know which is correct? Thanks in advance, lovely scarf! 💜
i started crocheting a couple months ago, and your videos are far and away my favorite! your instructions are so clear, and your voice is delightful to listen to. thank you for making these!!
I started crocheting because of your channel. LOVE THE BIG BEE, it was my first amigurumi! I absolutely love your channel, being a 12 year old crocheter!
Hi, I'm using a soft variegated yarn, wool/acrylic combo and adding in a plain colour picking up some of the colours in the variegated yarn each row in. I just love this stitch and it is great for left over yarns. The fringe is a great idea, no weaving in ends! 😅. Thank you again for another wonderful tutorial. We are into winter here in Tasmania ❄️ 🧊 🥶🔥 🧶
I have followed your work since long time and learned a lot..thank you so very much ...love you yr nails and the colors of yarn you use for the tutorial..🥰😘
I love that you're so patient in your tutorials. You give thorough details and slow directions. It really makes it easy to follow along instead of having to constantly go back and rewind each step. Super excited to try out this project! Thank you for this tutorial 💓
I just wanted you to know I have made at least 10 afghans with the moss stitch. It’s so easy and I can watch TV without missing a stitch. I have been using Premier Bloom Chunky Big yarn that slides over the hook using the moss stitch.
Thank you, Robin, for providing such easy-to-follow tutorials. As a beginner your videos have helped me to give some very thoughtfully made gifts for loved ones while on a budget. Merry Christmas! 🎄💗
Thanks for the video. I will try it. My mother and grandmother taught me how to crochet when I was sixteen. Yet when they pass away when I 18 I just stop. It’s been more then 20 years since i crochet but watching your channel I picked it back up. Now me and my daughter are doing it together thank you.
I love it! Will definitely be making it. I really really love not hiding the ends! You give very clear instructions and have a sweet calming voice.❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much for this tutorial and free pattern. I've just made one and it was so easy to follow your video instructions. It looks amazing and the best bit was not having to sew in all the ends!!!! Thank you x
Great tutorial! I love this pattern. You give excellent instructions without rushing over things. I've made one scarf so far using three colors for a 4yr old girl. She picked out your pattern and the colors. Now I need to find a hat pattern to go with the scarf. If you have an idea please let me know. Thank you so much for your hard work!
Ooh blimey there's a question I'm always USELESS at answering 😅🙈 I tend to do everything by eye when it comes to gauging starting chains - chain a load, lay it out, eyeball it (very much a wing and a prayer!) The technical and probably more helpful answer would be to know the width you want in inches, then measure your chains until they are the right width 🙂
This scarf is so pretty! I just found your video a few days ago and have already picked up 12 skeins of yarn in similar colors. I can't wait to get started!
Oooh this is so stunning!! I think I'll make a blanket like this... So excited already: D And glad I'm not the only one using DS or Switch game boxes for making tassels 😅
I love this! So easy and so pretty. And so I just had to order some of this yarn, since it worked up so beautifully. Thank you for this. Your tutorials are amazing. And who is even counting all the WIPs I've already got going, lol ❤️
LOVE this pattern and the colors are so pretty -- just ordered some up from Snufflebean!! thank you for the wonderful tutorial -- can't wait to make it -- btw the way to do the tassel with the ends is BRILLIANT!!
I love this scarf...I’ve ordered my yarn and am patiently waiting for it to get to Texas! I bought 2 different color packs, the Pastel and Rainbow. ❤️😊🧶
You are amazing and your color choices for the tutorials are always bright and cheerful and they make me happy. Please make weekly videos! I have 3 cakes of roll with it tweed in modern pastels and I have no idea what to do with them.
This is gonna be great pattern for me as I lots of worsted yarn I n smaller size balls. That are just the bit too small for anything. This will be perfect
Love your videos, they are nice and easy to follow for a beginner like myself. I was wondering, do you have a pattern for a hooded scarf, would you do a video on something like that if so??
Ooh I don't have a video for a hooded scarf but it's certainly something I can look into! I've always wanted one for myself so sounds like the perfect excuse to make one 😅
Dear Robin. Love all your video's. But I want to ask something. Is it possible tot juse a dark background when you have pastel colors? IT will be so mutch better tot der. Hope you Will think about It. Greetings from Karin from the Netherlands
Hello Karin - I am so used to using bright colours I sometimes forget to change my background for lighter yarns! Normally I am pretty good at remembering but in this video, I unfortunately forgot xx Hopefully you can still make out what I am doing 🙂 🤞
I HIGHLY recommend using the caron colorama halo to make this scarf! Works up into a beautiful soft perfectly ombre scarf. No color changes, just one skein makes great dimensions for a long wide scarf. I have made 2 so far, working on my 3rd and cannot recommend it highly enough. Go try it out!
Hi Robin! I purchased the Scheepje softfun cloud color box and made a scarf for my daughter for Christmas using this pattern. So relaxing!! My daughter picked the color. I'm making a scarf for her boyfriend with the same colors but I want to do a different pattern. Do you have an easy pattern that would work for the same yarn? Thanks so much!
Haha yes, I've tried and failed at colour pooling with moss stitch! 🤣 I had more success with granny stripe colour pooling but I didn't have the patience to finish my blanket as I had to keep changing hook size as I went .... ugh 😂 I decided quite quickly that colour pooling isn't for me haha!
@@HookedbyRobin I havent had any luck with pooling either. I tried it once and after frogging many many stitches, I decided I didnt really want an argyle scarf anyway 😂
Lovely scarf Robin thank you I’m making hats for a child’s charity and want to make some scarves too can you recommend how many stitches and rows to use for a child size scarf please ? 🧣Amanda xx
Although this is a great way to end the moss stich when using multiple colors of yarn. I was wondering Is their another way to end the scarf without the fringes?
Hi! I have this constant problem with moss stitch where, if I do it lengthways like this, it ends up curving and my scarf looks like a banana. Can anyone advise at all please? No idea where I’m going wrong, I’m a pretty experienced crocheter but this stitch just floors me every time!
Question: You said that you do 3 rows in each color, but in the video, you change color after each row. Please let me know which is correct? Thanks in advance, lovely scarf! 💜
Ah yes sorry, I did 3 repeat rows of each colour (changing colour each row) so, one row of each colour repeating the colour sequence 3 times in total👍
@@HookedbyRobin - Thanks, that is helpful indeed. I checked & can't find the written pattern, will you be posting it? 💜
i started crocheting a couple months ago, and your videos are far and away my favorite! your instructions are so clear, and your voice is delightful to listen to. thank you for making these!!

Thank you for such clear directions verbally and illustrations!!
Thank you so much Millie! 🥰🧶
I just finished my scarf yesterday in time for a big snowstorm.
Perfect timing! 😃🧣
I like that you begin with introducing the type of yarn, hook size & number multiple.

What a wonderful idea 💡 Thank you for sharing.
Love this pattern.. might turn it into a blanket!!
If I'd had full sized balls of the softfun (rather then the dinky 20 gram balls you get in the adorable packs) I would 100% have made a blanket !
@@HookedbyRobin how many would i have to chain to make a twin sized blanket please?
