  • As I lived here, the more and more I learned about the logistics of actually doing so. I would hear how much money, work, and hassle would be needed to do the simplest of things. So these are just a few of those things that I noticed here at McMurdo Station, Antarctica.

I certainly have enjoyed drinking a lot over the years and in the military but you guys are angered by an 18beer/3bottle of wine alcohol ration in a week? That's quite a lot dude. There are plenty of mining camps or military bases around where alcohol is prohibited completely. I am interested in coming to work down there one day if a heli pilot job pops up with the right heli type and i'll be more than happy with that ration amount.

any normal and healthy person should immediately gawk at 18 beers a week like seriously that is a ridiculously high amount of weekly alcohol consumption
