I reviewed this as well but mainly focused on the campaign, because the multiplayer though a bit different is almost the same.
I feel like I'm the only one who enjoys the Black ops series (I know shocker!) honestly I find both games enjoyable yet just seem a lot less annoying compared to Ghosts and MW3. The problems I usually have with both games is the lag and the community who tries find any exploit or overpowered combination. If those two problems didn't exist (well the same could be said about the other CoDs) then these games would have been fantastic for everybody else.
You aint tge only one dude, I love both black ops 1 and 2. The campaign for both games are really really spot on and the multiplayer portion is really fun to play. I still play them till this day

I LOVED Black Ops 1. In my opinion, it was the best COD yet. The storyline was really well done. I love conspiracies, and anything about the Cuban Missile Crisis, or the Vietnam War. The multiplayer was really balanced (In my opinion) and it had zombies! Not that much content as in Modern Warfare 2 and 3.. but oh well. :3
Would you recommend it? So far the only COD game i have played is Black Ops 2.
best thing to scream out when your playing online with a shotty is "THIS IS MY BOOM STICK" best catch phrase ever
xD "1, 2, 4 ... Oh, damn it! I alway forget the 3!" That cracked me up.
What I like about mark is that's he's not as biased as some people because it's made by treyarch. He reviews on how much fun it is and stuff like that.
@KyleReidzilla Sometimes for games that he feels warrant a longer review, Mark creates a review with more than one part. In fact, this one has three parts so keep an eye out for the subsequent ones!
The first thing I thought of when I played this game with my friends was "you can attach flamethrowers to your AK? Mark must love this game." xD

@AZCopperHead this is part 1 of 3. Im sure he will get to that. How could Mark resist a Robotron 2084 type game?
The Treyarch games seem to offer more for the offline multiplayer, plus you can play split screen during online multiplayer or online zombies. I think this one is one of the best COD because you get so much for what you pay for compared to all the other ones. And I have to say they actually put alot of time into the campaign mode this time.

This game has everything, radio controlled explosive cars, explosive arrows, U2 spy planes, and even a flamethrower. I am sure Mark loves the flamethrower.

Marky you should review Dead Ops Arcade inside Black Ops ! If you don't know about just release yourself from the chair on the main screen, go to the computer terminal inside the room and type "DOA" .
You will LOVE that game :D
I'd actually like to see mark review the big red one. I had it on gamecube and enjoyed it back in the day, it'd be interesting to see how it holds up.

@TheRammstein34 The game takes place throughout several time periods. The mission in question was a flashback mission with Reznov from WaW.
THIS GAME IS BETTER THAN DESTINY/TITANFALL/EVOLVE WITH AN ACTUAL STORYLINE AND YOU GET THE WHOLE GAME UPFRONT
@DarkCylon I completely understand. My dream invader must be Medal of Honor. And I mean the old one, on the PS1. I think it was MoH Underground. I still remember the second level. It was in a desert. I liked it, because it was so bright and nice. And I remember a secret level, where you would fight against Nazi German Shepherds! Ahh, I miss the old days.

the scene when you take the guy off the boat and killed him, what mission is that called?
CoD 4 is still the best CoD in the series. Nothing before, or after in CoD history had been so epic like the first Modern Warfare. I mean, do you remember the first time you played All ghillied up? When you were laying in the tall grass of Chernobyl, with a tank rumbling a feet from your head. And when you placed C4 on that tower and then watched as it collapsed into the valley bellow. Or when your team got executed in front of you, or when you were... Well I could just tell the whole game.
@Snotnarok its actually spelled "spas" and it was made in italy which is about 5000km (more or less) and your very right about that it was not made till years later because the spas was manufactured in 1979.....it was still a drawing will these little battles were going on i dont get why its in the game but oh well its still a good gun
@VahanGodofAwsome well, i dont see how any of those consoles are any better for one genre, since the controller concept for both xbox 360 and ps3 is pretty much the same: two analog sticks and a couple buttons. if you said the pc controls feels a bit more natural for shooters and consoles are for more well suited for racing games, i may agree with you though.

CoD has what hl2 does not, Customization. In hl2 you actually have to get skins if you want something dif.

Do you need to unlock the zombie level first by playing through the campaign, like in World At War(if I recall correctly)?

@SuperJoel67 The ps3 has it built in, In fact every system has had it built in for the longest except for the 360 (at least until recently)

i got this for the wii 3 days ago. effing amazing and probably the best graphics on the wii to date. plus you can finally use the classic controller. already level 32 in the multiplayer. havent even touched the campaign. probably never will lol. the multiplayer is why this game exists. treyarc delivers again.

You mention "Deer Hunter", but you forgot "Hamburger Hill". Theres a small part in the Khe San level where your hiking up a burned up looking hill that kinda resembles the one in the movie.

2:53 Treyarch re-used the reload animation for that gun on the Peacekeeper in Black Ops 2.
Nothing beats MW1, but this is milestones ahead of MW2 in every aspect possible. I actually wanted to know what kept on coming in the campaign, compared to MW2s boring corruption story.

Alex Mason is frozen at the end of the game.
He's thawed out and takes up the life of a construction worker on Mars several years into the future. He then turns from construction worker to freedom fighter.
oh, and Dirk Beefhammer can only have a Ron Jeremy moustache. but maybe it's that last name that gives me this association.
Mark's right, there's a shitload of classic war film references in the game. Going upriver in the boat to get into Cambodia, EXACTLY like Apocolpyse Now.
@JerryConlon You would rate CoD games lower then Desert Bus? Cheetahmen 2? Superman 64?
I loved Platoon. Apocalypse Now was good, but Full Metal Jacket and Hamburger Hill are really great.
Some doods told me that Black Ops has the best campaign of all the CODs ever since COD4. I wonder if that is true. What do you guys say? I'm sorry, I don't have the game just yet.

@asianguy586 well the ps3 has some extra feature that the 360 doesn't have, so you could say they are moderatly equal

Zombie mode is awesome, hate CoD's single player as I don't like to be pushed right in front of enemies I could take out much more efficiently by ambushing them and the multiplayer is CoD4's with some tweaks, but killing waves of zombies as JFK with Nixon and Castro is so awesome I forgot all of that :D

You know what I've noticed these past 2 years. If you say "Mark CGR" really fast you'll hear yourself say "God" by accident....
Then you ask yourself "was it really by accident?"

@SupermarketsRevil However, in my eyes, Treyarch perfected it, IW had forgotten how to equalize a game and polish it's detail. Example. Almost all of the maps on MW2 give unfair advantages to people who abuse game glitches, that is all MW2 contains.
