    This is the best tutorial out there. You did something that the majority of tutorials don't do. You told us when to wash our brushes and sponges. I am new to this so I never know if I should use a new brush or sponge which ruins my paintings. Thank you so much. I appreciate you.

    • @IdyllicAcrylicArt
      @IdyllicAcrylicArt  3 года назад

      Thanks for watching 😊You can buy acrylic paper, or even use water colour paper for acrylic paints. I would recommend using a thicker paper (over 300 gsm) so it won't lose it's shape, especially if you intend to thin the paint with water or a medium.

      Hi, i used a round artist sponge, but cut it in half (you don't have to do this however). Here is a link to see the sponge I used and I have also put a link in the description. www.amazon.com/Painting-Synthetic-Watercolors-Cleaning-Ceramics/dp/B07WNLNSW1/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=art+sponges&qid=1609634270&sr=8-5

      It might be more difficult on paper, but if the paper is stretched or very thick it could work ok.

    Is it better with a touch of water or does it depend what look you are looking for?

    • @IdyllicAcrylicArt
      @IdyllicAcrylicArt  9 месяцев назад +1

      It honestly depends on the brand and type of acrylics you are using. Cheaper brands like acrylic basic probably won't need any or much water, more expensive and thicker paint will need a little water or medium. To make it really easy slow dry medium would be your best friend for blending, especially skies. It really does make it easier for beginners. Also the thinner the paint, the less coverage you will get, so the look you are going for will determine how thin your paint is too. Thanks for watching! 😊

    if i would drop the paint onto the canvas just like you did my paint dries

    • @IdyllicAcrylicArt
      @IdyllicAcrylicArt  3 года назад +2

      I didn't add any acrylic paint mediums, but if you find your paint dries quickly you could add something to slow the drying process. Such as retarder or even airbrush medium to thin the paint slightly. 😊
