I am listening to this while I am transferring my data to my new phone. The old one lasted 6,5 years, and I definitely buy my stuff to last.
I think the oldest thing I own that still works is my sound amplifier / radio receiver I use in my living room. I got it as birthday gift from my dad, who got it as a birthday gift in the 70s himself. My dad passed when I was nine years old and I am holding on to that radio for sentimental reasons. It gets used daily and I keep it working, although I must say it does not need much repairs.
Close second is a toolbox I got for my 8th birthday (I just turned 40).
@Brady, I also religiously touch the exterior of a plane fuselage before climbing on board! I can't remember where or when this started, but the reason is definitely to do with electrical charge... I feel like I hear it from one of your videos, or maybe a Sci show video? I can't remember where I originally got it from, but the reason is definitely to neutralise my electrical charge with the charge of the exterior of the fuselage.
Fly safe! 😊
Maybe the elves make what look like wooden toys but being magical they transform once placed under the tree, so a child might for example get a PlayStation five, or if they've been naughty, a lump of coal.
