I always tend to steer away from burned areas, but in this and other videos & photos, I ‘ve noticed that you always seem to discover and highlight the beauty that remains. You’ve inspired me to see it in a new light, and not always avoid those kinds of places! I absolutely love that section of the PCT, I went up to that saddle with the view of Rosary Lakes & Diamond Peak. The view was mostly obscured by wildfire smoke, but I fell in love with that section along the lakes!
Hiked the Clear lake trail, Tumalo mountain, Lava river tube, and Look out mountain. The last half of the month was too smoky to hike most of Oregon specially Central Oregon where I am located.
Great video! I want to check out that Benson Lake trail! In July I did a "S" through the Three Sisters. Todd Lake-Green Lakes-Golden Lake-Demaris Lake-Camp Lake-Chambers Lakes-connected with the PCT-north to Obsidian and out at Lava Lake. 40+ miles. Also did the 18 mile Alice Toxaway loop near Stanley Idaho.

I've been exploring the upper Quartzville area lately. Trying to avoid the fires isn't easy! Always beautiful videos. Thanks for all you do! 😊
Yea lots of closures in the sweet home area unfortunately.

Where is the guy with the red face? Waldo area is just too pretty. Even after the fires it is still breathtaking.
