Neon was uncredited because the voice actor didn't know how lewd the game will be when they audition for it. Like some the va on release is unknown and nior and emma uses a fake name

@ObakePAM I forgot to mention that I heard that from someone else who met the voice actor at a con. But it sounds similar to what I heard directly from Emma's voice actor for why she used a fake name
One thing I like about watching/playing on a different language is that I mostly dont know if it's bad voice acting so I dont have the right to criticize or complain. If I think it's good, it's good. In addition, it's an opportunity to hear/listen a different language. But if they think EN dub is good or if they dont mind the muted chars or changed VA if they dont find that annoying then I am glad that you find it fine. I just want ppl to appreciate this game since this one of my fav gachas.
As a genuine question, since I do prefer the jp dub most of the time but specifically in nikke. Seems to me the JP cast always nail big moments, would this be due to better direction or them giving more context or just more experience voice acting for animated content? The only thing I prefer in English to the JP dub is liliweiss, there's plenty of EN i really enjoy but there's also lots I think are complete misses.
To answer you question - it's a yes to all. All of what Pam is looking for when it comes to those big moments are on the JP. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do if a streamer/CC prefers EN dub. Which is kinda funny because they still read the EN subtitles lol
The characters in EN dub feels like a total different character from KR/JP
Compared to Genshin/HSR EN at least they have better direction to characters despite most casts are muted lmao
it's not yes to all - maybe for some of the cast it is, but a lot of the EN cast also has extensive experience voice acting. So it's likely direction and/or not given enough context.
In terms of preference, especially when I voice act the non-voiced events, EN is much better for me!! Because then I can get a feel for the dub's vibe overall much better. It's easier to focus while streaming, and it feels more immersive since I'm multitasking while streaming, even if at times I may criticize it. Overall I like quite a bit from the dub, even if there are moments I wish it did more.
@ObakePAM I wasn't posting it to try and convince you to change to JP or anything, I've watched your playthroughs long enough to know you enjoy the EN dub for those reasons. I guess it's the sceptic in me, I think at one point you said there are some lines you would read and instinctively know how a situation is playing out and therefore how to portray that scene. As much as I'd blame direction for that, I would also say the VA should probably be able to read into that. I agree that there are plenty of really good VAs who did a great job. But an example I think of a lot was Red Hood in 1st anniversary, almost every emotional scene was a miss, although she improved massively in her main story performances afterwards.

Ah, nice, im glad you played this part of the story. Bottom part is some potential spoilers for this vod so just a heads up.
Sadly I'm on the side of the fence that thinks Liveryn should be severely punished (imo executed) due to how her greed essentially put everyone there at risk. Especially if she's actively thinking of going thru with taking the head. But thats just my opinion on the matter.
