Le Butcherettes's Omar Rodriguez-Lopez plays bass. In this exclusive performance video shot at NYC's Dominion, Teri Gender Bender (AKA Teresa Suaréz) made the most of a spare arrangement and her cryptic lyrics. It was a little bit White Stripes, a little bit Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and one hundred percent rock 'n' roll.

My wife and I saw Le Butcherettes at Soundwave in Sydney. This band has guts and punch few others do. Teri was on fire. We had never heard of them before this day and they wowed us all. Teri ended up strumming her guitar after diving into the crowd. They powers that be eventually pulled the power on her amp...she kept playing...epic stuff. Great vibe at that gig and loved seeing her emotional performance from only 4 metres away. Fantastic. She waved to my wife. And when she was walking away down the security lane at front of stage I said "Bravo" - she turned around and said thanks. Made my day.
Edward Hewer I had a similar experience in San Diego recently mate! I haven't felt the force of a live show like that since At The Drive-In in 2001. She manages to make a real connection with the crowd, and is extremely humble. I cannot wait to see them again.
Edward Hewer Just caught them opening for FNM in Toronto, and it was also an eye opener for myself and I think a lot of the crowd - powerful, quirky and catchy songs. Huge applause for an opening act.

I love this band so much. She's also one of the nicest musician I've met. Very caring of her fans and willing to actually hangout after the show and converse with us. She puts on an incredible show. First saw them 5 or 6 years ago and then again last year. She does not disappoint. Please visit Columbus, OH again!

Las conocí en el festival PAL Norte en Monterrey por curiosidad entre dónde iban a tocar en un pequeño espacio y solo habían viéndolas como 10 personas y me quedé todo su show y aquí estoy

Just saw them in Fargo, ND. They absolutely killed it! My first time hearing them. Lead singer sang with Melvins for last song, my head exploded. The energy at the show was so amazing. The videos I've seen don't compare at all to them live. If you ever get the chance to see them live. GO!

Saw them play live at my uni bar, opening for the omar rodriguez lopes group. Better than the main band. Charisma through the roof. Sung half a song on the floor in the mosh pit. Goosebumps that mountaineers would climb. Musically the best live band ive EVER seen.
I saw Le Butcherettes open for L7 in May of 2019. They were awesome!

It's awesome to see how humble Omar is. The fact he can resist shredding/stealing the show for a relatively simple song speaks highly of his character.

The guy on bass is the guitarist from the Mars Volta, I think he gets you. Literally one of the busiest/best guitarist just playing pocket basslines.

Great performance but whoever did the sound for this fucked up....can hardly hear the drums & bass, guitar is too high, vocals should be raised a little more.

I've listened to a handful of Le Butcherettes songs and I can't get into them. Their music is just kind of...lackluster? I guess that's the right word. No clue how they wound up on Ipecac of all labels. That and "Teri Gender-Bender" is a stupid stage name.
Maybe cause Le Butcherettes was born to be straightforward...Teri is much grander in Bosnian Rainbows, and I think she's a great singer overall
Yeah. She's one of those musicians that I feel like I ought to like, yet for some reason I just can't.
Personally I feel they're much stronger live than in studio. Something is definitely lost in a more polished mix.
I watched one live video of theirs and Teri was entertaining. She knows how to get people's attention, but the music just didn't do it for me. The songs feel disingenuous or something.
