We got up close with Ladytron from every angle in this exclusive performance video. If this rendition of their gloomy anthem "Destroy Everything You Touch" were any more intimate, the UK electropop band would be playing in your living room. And yet somehow they maintain that perfectly icy reserve. Sigh.

@@azynkron Well its known that some of their old analogue gear has started to go out of tune due to various reasons live, which is a problem that no one but a keyboard player into music gear can understand my old analogue Yamaha Cs-01 (from 1981)goes out of tune easily when its too hot outside and I cant understand why. Guess they should have done it the safe way a couple of times and used new synths or samplers. I think they were okay the first time I saw them perform live, and really good the second time I saw them perform.

I'm a dinosaur (63) never heard of Ladytron until a week or so back in 2020! and I love to discover music, A friend who loves three bands which I rank in my top ten [Sparks, Kraftwerk, and Future Islands] said he loved Ladytron so I started listening through youtube - today [8/12/2020] three Ladytron CD's arrive in my post so I now own '604' 'light&magic' & 'witching hour' judging by what I've heard on those cd's I'll probably own their entire back catalogue by early 2021, I'm also aware that Helen has some solo work.
it's late 2022, did you get those other albums?
I still like to own the cds too if I'm into an artist.

I’m a dinosaur also and have been following this band 10 yer + and they are great in same class as kraftwerk omd etc. Pity not more recognition but will be a cult band like New Order etc. love to see them live sometime soon.

I love how they are so frosty and mysterious in character onstage and on record but then just turn into normal people from liverpool and glasgow afterwards.

Had the privilege of seeing this group live in lower Manhattan around 2005. Changed our lives for the better.

Fabulous! A real blast from the past, 15 years ago already, how can it be??...
I discovered them some months ago and I'm very surprised with their unique sound, with a strong beat and smoth voices. In certain songs, there are familliar sounds of the typical synthpop of the 80's, including the special nosense underground influence of Kraftwerk, which is amazing. A truly wonderfull surprise!

I'm aware that bands can sound different live vs studio, but I have found her voice to be considerably different here and on other live videos singing this exact song. I'm saying this as someone who loves this song... particularly the studio version which captured something extra special not found here in this live version.
Ladytron has been admired by the true art admirers of the world. I have caught their music being played on high fashion runways and in several other places where you know an artistic ear heard and appreciated their sound and wanted it for their exhibit. They're honestly too good to be in pop culture, they are for the intellectual.

To those who say this is a bad live performance, it is nothing like Ladytron live with an audience . they ate amazing.
Saw them last month and man that gig was awesome, the world is now at their feet, have a great year Ladytron.
Out of Ladytron's excellent songs throughout its years this is the best on. This song tops all of Ladytron's other excellent songs.

The whole band always looks so classy and nice. Helen, at least in the videos I've seen, always looks amazing. She's like a walking Sim...just perfect.

I dont think so, Brian Molkos voice is a bit more nasal and maybe not brighter but more sharp if you compare them. He has a wider spectrum than Helen, and the characters differ alot. Brian feels alot more vulnerable, while having powerful bursts of emotion, while Helen is more determined and dominant both lyrically and emotionally. I guess Helen could be Brians dominant school teacher that helps him when things get rough and helps him out of bad behaviour. Thats my opinion!
