No way this has been done by the shop. This looks like puremely executed home made project.
I done my car at home, but it didn't turn out this bad 😅 I feel sorry for the owner
Exactly what I'm thinking. This has to be a back street, Sunday afternoon, 'I've got some bits in the shed' job :)
@@thekingsfamily7800 😂
worse than home made :))
It's possible. I had a shop do mine a few years back simply because I was lazy. Had similar results to this.
That is extremely rough for a shop but pretty standard for a home gamer who is a bit too enthusiastic lol. Even the equipment is low quality. I look forward to the "trail of destruction" video haha
Those Hertz subs are quite pricey (not that I’d choose them) but the rest of the kit is junk.
Hertz is never low quality. Not high end but they always produce nice sound in the right installation.
Came here to say this. Like it’s not out of the question that a shop did this, I mean there’s some pretty bad ones. But this just reminds me of a DIYer doing stuff from an online forum or RUclips instructions and then embarrassed saying a shop did it.
Regardless, besides the Hertz stuff the rest is like cheap shit so I’m not surprised the install matches.
Those Hertz subs aren't "low quality", not something I'd personally choose, but they're good subs that have a wide range, good power handling, pretty damn good sensitivity, and definitely aren't cheap.... I mean, that's about $1400 for those 2 subs there... it's just absolutely everything else is pure garbage 😅
If he would've just bought one sub, and a simple $100-$200 decently built within spec pre built enclosure for the one, a better quality amp and just simply went to like, Best Buy for a cheap amp and sub install where they wouldn't do anything crazy, but would install everything correctly enough and properly setup his amp and voltages, he would've never needed the rest of that crap on the back deck that's probably not even adding to the bass he was clearly looking for 😅
Literally everything he's running is just either in completely leaking or not even attempted to be enclosed.... enclosures 🤣
Holy crap!!! If that was done by a shop they need to close their doors. That "port"!!! I certainly hope this guy is prepared to pay for a proper install. That install looks like a backyard, hold my beer, install!!
I did mine in the backyard and had a few beers. Mine looks great. I watched too many 5 Star install videos. Wanted to make Dean proud.
@@r_p_m7330 bro if you watched five star videos I have no doubt your install is on another planet compared to this one!
@@RJSDZNS This is underground build 😂😂 How the shop can give you car back like this and show you the system
I think the customer told him it was done by a “shop” and did it himself...Nobody in his right mind would accept work this bad..
I am utterly amazed that the owner didnt go back to the shop with a can of petrol, how can anyone drive away with that , and not say anything, lol at least they got the name right on the amp, anarchy, because thats what this is !
People saying they dont think a professional did that. As an installer myself, trust me, there are "professionals" that do that kind of install. Those types only care about the money and getting the car out the door and not the install and shouldnt be allowed anywhere near a vehicle.
Jesus! That is easily one of the worst installs I've seen, maybe top 5.
Like I've used male spade connectors as a speaker wire ferrule before, or even a cut ring in place of a fork connector. But man, hacked up ring terminal for a power wire reducer; that's a scary new one.
What a mess. Look forward to seeing it worked on. I can't believe he paid someone money to do that. I am sure those subs installed properly would sound great.
PEATER !!!!!!@!!!!!
I would like to thank u I'm a old installer that become an autobody technician I have been using fiberglass for years and can build what ever I desire I found your channel and saw your puzzle peace technique I didn't get it at first thought it was a wast of time then I realized my cool project look cool but don't sound that great i just completed a glove box build with 2 8inch subs built with your techniques it sounds amazing I am started to book work every weekend 😀 thank u so much puzzle peqce technique is a game changer
Peter tell the customer. We are so sorry that he paid someone to install that disaster.
Looks like a couple of 16 year old boys weekend diy build 👍
I did a better job than that when i started at 16, back in 1990...
make Pssound the standard of car audio xD
liked as always. now im gonna enjoy the video!
edit: damn man. thats just horrible. i really hope he didnt pay them much for it. but he probably did. sadly.
C'mon man imma diy guy I know the owner of this car tried his hand at car audio installation to avoid spending that money on installation cost cause ain't no way in the world a knowledgeable shop did that install. Now it is time to say the hell with it and let pro Pete do it and it is no shame when you figure your limitations when it comes to this hobby
There's no way your gonna tell me shop did this. This was a 16 yr old kid who read a car stereo review and decided it looked easy. But regardless august is months away. You should tell the owner to st a minimum pull the box out and Bondo or glue some wood plugs in the box. At least it will sound a little better for 3 months until you can build him a proper box. Or go on Facebook marketplace and spend $40 on a crap prefab. I would take that shop to court if they did this to my car
Imagine being told you owe thousands for this level of work 😳
i hope he comes back i cant wait to see videos of this
That won’t happen for a while based on the fact that he cancelled the scheduled job in August just a week before the planned day and he’s been quiet ever since.
People want things for free, I know it's expensive, and what I've learned cost money, but he actually has a few good pieces that can be used
Planet audio....for real I wouldn't pay any money to have those installed.
If thats a port then i saw jesus today hahahaha
This can't be real Bro. This looks like what my buddy did to his car in the 10th grade.
At least, the subs and the battery could be reutilized. The other items just.....
Nice challenge , I will be monitoring the progress of this and the outcome.
Definitely looks like a friend of a friend saying "I can hook up a system, bring it to me" and you get this monstrosity 😅
And boy.... that poor back shelf will never be the same, then again, the guy probably didn't even cut anything, you'll probably just need an air chisel to knock all that crap off like a dentist knocking 10yrs of yellow tartar off some old man's teefs 🤣
I can’t believe for a second this guy paid someone to make that box?
It would take me so much more time and effort to install a system this bad then to just install it properly. Then I hear you say this is a Mercedes, makes me feel so sad for the owner of this vehicle
Absolutely hilarious... No other way to describe it...
Well Peter, that shop shouldn’t do headunits and handsfree kits as well 😂😂😂
I really like the paradigm of having previous customers who had a great experience, who enjoys their cars and the hobby, that are willing to give a demo to a prospective customer. I think this is a great idea, and I would love to have this opportunity if I were a prospective client.
If a shop did this they need to stop calling themselves a shop. I've done way better installs working overnight to get a car ready for a show the next morning, in my teens.
Holly smokes, who would even pay for that kind of work😆
This looks like a DYI that went horribly wrong lol
Damn I lost it when i saw the rear deck.. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
Wow no words for such a mess of an install!
I wonder how he can still drive around with that after he cancelled the job… 🤷🏻♂️
*Can't believe a professional made this!*
Yo where did u get those 20$ woofers
That box man....
Hello. You definitely do great work!! I wanted to see if you do remote tuning? Thanks?
Hi, sorry, we don’t, only onsite.
Thanks
can't wait to show us how you transform this car. SPL setup boom boom
Wow, the box is way to small for them subs, and a shop did that come on…
That looks horrendous, can’t wait to see what you make out of it or rather replace it, good luck Peter.
Lets hear it!!!
uh shit...
But another thing: Please tell the owner to change the exhaust left and right. :D the one more under the car needs to be on the outer side.
Glad I’m not the only one that noticed that, they should be following the body lines.
That install must of been done by performance autosound in Washington state lol
WOW 😳
Holy cow who ever installed... poor old kids don't know Sheep from sheepdog ahhhhhhhhhhh...
I can't believe a shop did that 😱
Can u explain the wiring details 4guage
8guage and 0 gauge and where we can use make 1 video peter
Nice touch on the home made ferrel... 😂
No way did a shop do that install. I wouldn't have paid £10 for that work. Reminds me of the Escort XR3i installs back in the day when ProPlus and the other cheap manufacturers were big. I really hope he's going to get rid of all that cheap audio and get something better installed and tuned by you.
Have you ever worked on a mk3 focus?
Not yet, but no car is a challenge. Why?
@@pssound9749 I have one wit the Sony stereo, with new 2 way components speakers on passive crossovers front and rear doors. Plus sound deadening and baffles but it still sounds a bag of shit!
Holy thats an amazing system
Great job on mounting the subs….. lol
I put my own in and it looks better than that. Can't believe they done that to such a nice car.how is the amp going to cool off behind the seat😂😂😂
this is the highest level the shops at my country can produce, it might be better looking and with more "experieced" workers. i could swear youd be a multi millionare in a couple of years if you open a shop here. ps, i would probably bring you half your customers lol
Haha and which country are we talking about? 😃
@@pssound9749 im not about to plant a bad idea about my country XD ill just let it be until we meet
they charge to do that?? looks like what I use to do when I was in mexico at 12 years or 15 my nice custom boxes 😜🤪 wire frome home 🤦🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️ haha but for a shop!!! come on
this is standard in australia, no one actually has experience i have fixed installs from 90% of the shops, recently had a audison bit 10 with a hertz mille pro 5 channel amp, one of the worst installs i have seen with 3 tek screws into the ground wire terminal, used old of cuts for amp power and ground, terminals hammered down, all done on a 2018 passat from one of the best audio shops in melbourne, after fixing that i can now say no one has a clue, this video reminds me of exactly the same crap
Hertz subs with Planet Audio amps 🤦♂️
'Some of my best work'......🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Man, that's shocking!
I have 1 15 in my ride and it do not move wtf :D LOL
Looks like craftmanship of a 16 year old getting into car audio for the first time here in the states. Heck, I did a better install at 16 in my green Nissan Sentra. I hated that car.
just serve free beer and get 3 pornstars dancing and you win ESQL with this one
Not that bad just needs a little TLC
Haha just a little 😂
Is it the best nightmare ??
That is simply just shocking
I got one amp and a home theater sub and it cranks
All the gear and no idea, the level of quality just makes it feel way unnecessary.
Especially in a daily not a purpose built bass machine
Your channel was recommended...love the knowledge you gave but i had to stop watch when you did the closeup on the amp wiring...my OCD for wiring would not let me go any further.
This wasn’t built by us, i hope that’s clear.
@@pssound9749 oh yeah i know its not your work...i hate to see a rats nest that could catch fire that someone paid for.
But Peter, they used Tesa tape. It can't be bad. lol
Is that a Mercedes? Please, no. I hope someone wouldn't let someone do that to a Benz.
If I didn't slap the installer seeing what he did to my car I'd DEF CHARGEBACK with the BANK! F that, get your money and fund this new project!
Just WOW!!!! No words for this really! 🤮
😳
Looks more like a DIY project. 🤣
Man that's bad! Xx
Looks like DIY
Planet Audio Amps powering Hertz speakers😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Held in by bungee cords.
O no o no no 😔
That port is 38Hz)))))
more like 138
That installation is just appalling to say the least!! Surely the owner has idea of what a decent install should look like to end up at pssound?
They made a joke. It can’t be real.
Late April 1 joke
N they probably charged top dollar
Holy shit...
Name and shame these scam artists!
Yikes!
i really wonder what goes threw the mind of some of these installers... honestly it just shows how poorly they think of themselves
I call that job "Rubbish!"
This could not been done worse even if you were trying!!!
What the F..., the owner self could have done better. I hope that he only paid for the equipment.....
Absolutely shocking! Zero care for someone’s property and clearly zero ability
NEVER seen shop do this 💩 a job, this was an owner who did this and didnt have the balls to admit it.
No passion car audio shops .
who ever installed all of this equipment has alot of passion but a very low amount of skill
seems like he went to a butcher shop
Get the fire extinguisher ready.
Car bbq waiting to happen by ghetto fabricator in the barrio at the flea market by a Mexican Honda Civic owner 😬😁 using duct tape, bad grounds, & copper pennies for fuses 🤔😱 NO apologies
Definitely not a professional install
Run Peter run !!!!
It seems that a system installed this poorly would take more time to install than a properly installed one. Why would the owner of the car accept the poor workmanship and pay for it?
First thing take those PA amps and donate them to goodwill. They are junk, pretty reliable but so what its like a dog turd that stays on the lawn in perfect shape for years....still a turd. I had a PA years ago and not only did it make about 150w being rated at 1500w but it had two 5/8" x 8" steel rods slid in the case to make it feel like it had some substance to it, thats cheesy. Typical BOSS group gear.
How has thet Mercedes not caught fire. That install is the worst I've ever seen.
First world installation
That can’t be a shop looks like diy home job. They should be shut down.
Planet Audio... barf.
I’m not a professional but I can do way better
What a way to ruin a Mercedes. Hope he or she didnt pay for this. Just horrible, why would u do this to someone.smh
😂😂😂😂 WTF
