No need to change your injectors. Just use good fuel and poor in a injector clean 2-4 times a year. It will keep them clean. Manufactors build their injectors to last a lifetime of the vehicle
@@danielfl.9347 that's true!, my TSI is on LPG (Vialle, so similar to Prins DLM - liquid LPG through the TSI injectors) and 270.000km and no issues so far with the injectors (2010 1.2 TSI) --> using premium fuel (98+ octane) and a lot of highway mileage keeps them healthy. I drive most of the time on LPG And every 500-1000kms I drive about 10-30 2800rpm+ in 6th gear on the highway. Keeps starting and running like it's new. My dad has a Volvo 2.0T (203 hp ecoboost engine) - runs great too, just don't drive too much short distances and use injector cleaner about 1/2 times a year!
Can you explain what the symptoms of too much carbon build up is? I have a 1.4 TSI BMY (the slow version of the BLG) from 2006, and they are notorious of having carbon build up. I have for the last 4 years wondered when I should get it done. I am just waiting for symptoms
Rough idle on cold starts is the most common issue. Also misfires at idle (mainly from cold again) logging fault codes/engine lights. Sometimes we find we are cleaning the ports simply because we are in there and advise the customer what we've seen, the labour savings of doing it now as it's apart for something else anyway (injectors, leaks, etc depending on engine/model) and after the clean is carried out, the customers always comment on how the car has never ran better. So the people driving them day in day out notice a difference.
@3:34 your holding a hose , what does that connect to ? I asked because my mechanic "lost it" doesnt know what kind of hose it is and I dont know what I'm going to ask the dealership to look for . Please and thank you
The manifold is the same. Only a couple of pipes and hoses are different. It is much easier on the a4, a5, q5 as there is so much more space. I will do a video if i have one of the those cars come in that requires the manifold to be removed.
Jesus can the shitty tsi engine get anymore shit ? badly designed streching timing chain badly designed tensioner which can jump timing if you so much as roll back on a hill and destroy your engine or the clip can just POP off from the tensioner and also destroy your engine and now i find out they are direct injected and carbon/gum up ohhh god facepalm.
Always great videos, learn so much from it. Thank's guy's!!!
Having mine done and the injectors replaced tomorrow.

@@FourRingsAuto Good to know. I have none of these issues except misfires now and then. Thanks for the answer.
What's the typical charge to get this done?

Can you please do a guide for Audi A4 B8 or like that Q5 from your other videos? Intake Manifold setup is a quite different.

Hi, can I ask who makes the gloves you use please? 👍
Just wondering if the twinchargers suffer from a similar amount of carbon build-up? If so, how accessible are they to blast out the gunk?
All Direct injection engines without supplemental port injection will have the same carbon buildup issues.
Where do you get the walnut media from?

And from my experience you have to do this process every 50-60K miles. Total BS. Should be a class action lawsuit on VW for such a crappy design
