Faenza, Emilia-Romagna - north east of Italy: Things to Do - What, How and Why to visit it (4K)

Faenza, close to Bologna and Ravenna, is a city of art of Roman origins (Faventia was its ancient name), with a Renaissance appearance and the elegance of the Liberty style.
Despite being a small town in Romagna, its name is famous beyond the borders of Italy for the production of ceramics, a tradition that began in the Renaissance.
In this video, I'll show you what to see in Faenza in one day, plenty of time to visit it considering that it is quite small, and all the attractions not to be missed.
Piazza del Popolo
Start visiting Faenza from its heart, Piazza del Popolo, with its elegant porticoes, which has a square and regular appearance, typical of the eighteenth century.
The square is overlooked by the Palazzo dei Podestà, Palazzo Manfredi, today home to the Town Hall, and the seventeenth-century Clock Tower.
Piazza della Libertà
Right next to Piazza del Popolo is the wonderful Piazza della Libertà, and the Fontana Maggiore. It is among the most important monuments of the city and the point where one of the oldest aqueducts in all of Romagna ends.
Cattedrale di San Pietro Apostolo
The Cathedral of San Pietro Apostolo, built from 1474, is one of the most important examples of Renaissance architecture in Romagna.
Near Faenza
There are many villages that preserve artistic and food and wine treasures, such as Brisighella. And don't miss the opportunity to go to Oriolo dei Fichi, by bike or in 5 minutes by car.
Oriolo dei fichi, with its famous Tower, is a small hidden gem, off the tourist track, where you can enjoy the countryside panorama while tasting the local food!
