Can you switch between the performance ceramic and say a blue compound without re-bedding or having issues? Or is the switching only okay from like an HPS or HP+?
+Wade Davis (WadeJdm) For optimal performance we suggest anytime you change compounds to clean and de-bed the rotors and bed the new brakes. Thank you for the question. Can we help you find the correct pads, give us a call at 1.855.669.7224 we stock the entire line of Hawk Brake pads.
Bro , how about dtc 60 dtc 70 initial bite when cold ? Are those better than dtc 30 when cold ?
Are -60 -70 pad durable on track ?
What rotors can I use for the 5.0 pads!? They say, “All Hawk Performance Compounds are not Compatible with Carbon Ceramic Rotors. Hawk Pads are Designed to Work with Iron/Metal Rotors.”
I wanted Brembo, but they are only high carbon..
Who sells high quality iron/ metal rotors?
Late reply but high carbon and carbon ceramic are two completely different types. High carbon is an iron rotor with a higher carbon content that helps it resist warping and cracking under high heat. Carbon ceramic is a mix of carbon fibers and ceramic pressed into a rotor. You're fine with high carbon.
So you recommend these just for street driving? Got a 2016 sti but I just street driving, not taking it to the track yet.
