Rocky is one of the most underrated guitarists in metal. Absolutely phenomenal playing!

Originally, Suicidal Tendencies was a punk rock band... their debut album in 1983 was a 'sleeper' record that gained sales after the band had broken up... (Late) Slayer guitarist Jeff Hanneman was a huge fan of the band, and Slayer's drummer Dave Lombardo was a member in the later years.
'Cyco Miko' Mike Muir (vocals) eventually kept ST going w/ new members, incorporating thrash metal influences in the "crossover" (punk and thrash) scene to record a 2nd album 'Join the army' in 1987 w/ lead guitarist Rocky George... Suicidal was signed to a major label Epic Records and the 1988 album "How will I laugh tomorrow..." (1988) was a success in the thrash metal era, getting MTV airplay w/ guitarist Mike Clark added to the band (Bob Heathcote on bass and R.J. Herrera on drums)... followed by the 1989 EP "Controlled by hatred..."
Robert Trujillo (bass), who would join Metallica in 2003 and Ozzy Osbourne's band before that in 1996, joined Suicidal in 1990 and the album 'Lights, Camera, revolution' became their biggest record w/ 4 video singles on MTV... 'Lovely'... "You can't bring me down"... "Send me your money" ... and 'Alone'... Drummer R.J. Herrera left the band afterwards.
'The art of rebellion' (1992) also saw success, but was a departure from thrash metal and going back to punk rock influences... Suicidal re-recorded their 1983 debut album and released it in 1993 as "Still cyco after all these years" as they were peaking commercially. However, after the album 'Suicidal for life' (1994) became a commercial disappointment, Suicidal Tendencies announced their split in 1995... Muir released his first solo album 'Lost my brain!' in 1996, which sold poorly.
In 1996, Mike Muir reformed Suicidal Tendencies w/ Mike Clark (guitar) and Dean Pleasants (lead guitar) and newer members... Epic Records released a 'best of' album 'Prime cuts' in 1997 as the band began touring again... They returned to a punk rock sound on the albums 'Freedumb' (1999) and 'Free your soul and save my mind' (2001) ... Neither album sold exceptionally, and Suicidal would not release any new music for a decade... Touring was sporadic w/ members changing often... Eventually, Mike Clark would leave ST.
Suicidal Tendencies would return in 2013 w/ the album '13' and begin actively touring in support... Dave Lombardo (drums) who had left Slayer, joined for the 'World gone mad' album in 2016... 'Still cyco punk after all these years' (2018) was largely Suicidal re-recording the 'Lost my brain!' solo album by Cyco Miko Muir.
Mike Muir has kept Suicidal Tendencies active for touring since... Robert Trujillo's son Tye Trujillo joined on bass, Ben Weinman (guitar) joined w/ Dean Pleasants (lead guitar) and Brandon Pertzborn (drums) after Dave Lombardo was recruited on drums for Testament, as well as The Misfits, Mr. Bungle, and his own punk band Dead Cross (w/ vocalist Mike Patton of Faith No More/ Mr. Bungle)

Their 1st album 1983s self-titled Suicidal Tendencies is their most straight ahead American Hardcore punk and is considered very influential to early thrash. All the songs are great a few that come to mind are "I Saw Your Mommy...", "Fascist Pig", "I Shot Reagan". Glen E. Friedman produced it and shot the cover. He’s a photographer worth looking up. The album Controlled by Hatred / Feel Like Shit… Déjà Vu has an acoustic version of the song you just listened to called "How Will I Laugh Tomorrow" (Heavy Emotion Version). The next and maybe best album is Lights...Camera...Revolution! Some good songs to check out are “You Can't Bring Me Down" and "Send Me Your Money" the later having some funk influence from new Bassist Robert Trujillo currently of Metallica. And that’s the last album I bought of theirs.
