So I think powerwise Sergei and Tom is Jones's biggest threats. Wrestling wise Blaydes and Aspinall are a tough fight for Jones if you're talking about as a whole. Don’t agree with some of Brian’s comments at all here. Jones is without doubt the GOAT in the sport, it’s not a question. Machida, Belfort and Evans were all LWH champions who moved to MW at the end of their careers, they weren’t natural middleweights. Gus 1 yes was tough, Gus 2 it was a beating. Cormier challenged Jones for the belt at LHW in the first fight, Cormier defended said belt at LWH in the second. Both fights were all Jones, they weren’t close. As much as I agree that Tom Aspinall gives Jones issues, it doesn’t take away from the fact he’s established himself without question as the GOAT

Ngannou can generate a lot of power, but look how much he has to wind up and telegraph _MASSIVE_ looping punches to achieve that power… by contrast, Pavlovich can throw short, precise, quick shots that stun/drop everyone. Stipe doesn’t have that kind of power, but he does also have the ability to generate considerable power with short, quick punches without the need to wind up Popeye style as Ngannou does.
