I love it, just not sure i would have the patience of all that cutting off and tying,, but I now want to at least try it ,, thanks to you and Paul for the pattern :)
@@lisalitle-valle1980 you are very welcome! Please post it in my Facebook group. I would so love to see it. I’d like to ask you a question since you made one …… I left out a section of the video at the beginning by mistake. It was the 40 rows for the brim. So I said 50 rows in the beginning then I ended by saying 90 rows. Did you realize the mistake and just figure it out or do I need to redo the video? I would appreciate your input.
Right now Shelley my head is spinning...my brain is on overload!!! 🤣This beanie is so beautiful....I will have to master your patterns first...and advance from just knitting to patterns before I attempt this!
Working on the sentro 48 I use thinner yarn to prevent issues with the machine. I always have trouble that knots pop out on the good side of the work. Any tips? I replaced my sentro 22 for an addi 22 and noticed that thicker yarn is no issue for the addi. I feel a birthday gift coming up for the addi 46… Than I definitely will try this technique
@@wilmavanroekel8462 I use 4 weight yarn in my Sentro all the time. In fact I have never used 3 weight. Just use good yarn and a bit more tension. The hook of the needles on the sentro are smaller so a “bit” tighter tension help the yarn stay under the hook before it’s picked up.
@@lindamurray6647 you need to watch the video where I tell you what to do with the 48 needle. You don’t stop at 48. You always add one more than the number of needles you have.
Wow!!! Great work on this hat. ???? The color changes wouldn’t have worked as in having the yarns taken out of the cradle, then pick up the next color? In other words, be continuous?
I heard the same. Knit 50. Then next you phase in straight after it says that’s the 90 rows done. So it’s 90 inside. Then the you work the pattern of colours.
I owe you an apology! I am sorry…. I left out a clip in the video. I did knit an extra 40 rows for the brim! Oh my word!! I no longer have the clip to edit it. 😭
Would it work if you placed the yarn on bobbins, do not cut the previous color. Just switch from the bobbin. Carry the bobbin along the donut so that the yarn colors do not get twisted. This way you do not have to cut and tie so often.
@@koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet I not sure how to explain what I mean. I have done intarsia knitting by hand. You drop the color to the back and pick it up again in the new row. It only crosses over the one stitch that you move it over too. You do not carry it all the way around. Each color would have its own bobbin. I will try it and let you know if it works.
@@marylenzen8632 I understand what you are saying but you end your colour after 15 stitches and the next time you go around you don’t start that same color where you dropped it. It starts 14 needles back.

This is brilliant! And very complicated to describe but you manage it well! I followed and I think I'll have to try this one myself, thank you!

I think it could actually work but it's difficult to think through. Might just be worth trying and see if it works.
@@babbit5443 it would work on smaller sections. Not on this amount of carried needles. You can certainly try.

They don’t start and stop at the same spot row to row. So that wouldn’t work.
There are too many needles for each colour so you can’t do that.
