Batman was awesome, I loved it so much I bought the shirt, I bought the hat, I bought the mug, I bought the magnet, I bought the action figure, I bought the poster, I bought the license plate, I bought the underwear, I bought the toilet paper, I bought the refrigerator, I bought the rug, I bought the computer, I bought the car, I bought the Batcave, I bought the coaster, so now the bank owns my house, and I'm thirty million dollars in debt, but it was totally worth it.
CoasterFan15 this whole video has El Torro Ryan vibes. It’s almost funnier here since it’s less expected from Chris. He also has a drier sense of humor.
The Shockwave is a really good coaster, and it was my first inversion as a kid, and also it was the first inversion coaster for all four of my children, who all rode it for the first time at age 3... That said, I've seen several coaster enthusiasts rank the Shockwave as the best coaster at SFOT, and to me that's crazy, Freeze, Giant, and Titan all easily top it.
Home park represent! Anyways yeah, this state's a damn inferno during the summer (and it's STILL in the 90s during October). Definitely makes the Power Splash a nice fit. Too bad they cheaped out with the loading station by not getting the turnstyle, which'll lead to bad operations since it's at the front of the park (I'm still pissed at Six Flags for that, and many other things too). Now tell me this "thing" for the Mini Mine Train, because it's the first I've heard of that. 👀
Great video! SFOT is my home park, and I love hitting it on days where it's a walk-on for every ride, which happens surprisingly often if you visit a lot.
nice a clip from dodgeball I appreciate that lol...Thankyou for this...I'm going to this park in six days for my birthday and I'm really hoping the weather is warm and sunny
My last few visits to SFOT Mr. Freeze was running two trains- but the same rows were blocked off on both trains. Not sure why this is. I'm sure there's some sort of reasoning but it does kind of stink! Still my favorite ride in the park and still a top ten for me- even after my Cedar Point visit!
y'all have a death wish, riding pandemonium on the same side like that XD but thanks for coming all this way to come to my home park and i'm glad you had fun :D
3:40 I will never understand why Shockwave always has such short lines. The combination of intense G's on the loops and the airtime in the second half make it such a good ride (my #2 in the park.) But hey, having short lines does make it the best coaster to marathon in the park.
Hometown park represent! ✌ I was born and raised in a town about 45 minutes away from Arlington. I have been more times than I can possibly remember! I think my last trip was when I was in high school, and I came with my dad. We spent the entire day going around the park, riding as many coasters as he would. The Judge Roy Scream and Batman were our two favorites. That's probably been 15 years ago, and, unfortunately, my dad passed away last year from metastatic colon cancer. That trip with my dad--riding roller coaster after roller coaster, only to fast pass them so we can ride them again--still remains one of my most cherished memories.
Some rides that I knew we rode that trip (and most multiple times; we rode Batman 5 times that day) : -Batman -Mr. Freeze -Superman -Texas Giant -Judge Roy Scream -Mine train -Mini mine train -Shockwave -Bobsled -Runaway mountain -the carousel, Conquistador, log ride, Roaring Rapids, splash down, Yosemite Sam dark ride, and the swings (non-coasters, but essential parts of a Six Flags trips!)
I road the Pandemonium in STL with no one across from me and and my wife this summer. Holy crap! I have never had such an intense ride from a spinner, I know exactly how dizzy you guys felt haha.
The first two roller-coasters I ever went on, 21st birthday, 2004. First was Texas Giant, hated how painful it was! Then I went on Titan! I was nuts, but I ended up loving it! I went on 8 times till my friend puked! Sadly, I never went on another due to my health declining soon after, but it is a great memory!
Dude... you skipped mine train? That ride his so great especially during Halloween it’s my fav ! So fun There used to be a ride called flashback I really liked it but it was always broken Back when Batman first opened and mr freeze the line was actually fun and beautiful . If that makes sense Harley Quinn was terrifying
Wow, we were in the same park at the same time. I am surprised we did not run into each other and you did not stay for the extended Batman Birthday Celebration.
I got up at 3:30am today, so that I could fly to Denver and visit the awesome Elitch Gardens. It's what we do. I'll be in your area on Monday, going to Disneyland with a friend. Your day at SFOT was a lot like my 2 days there in mid-August. Very empty, even on Saturday, because of the heat.
When it comes to a fun trip with coasters there is no hour too early to wake up and get on the road! I got up at 3:30 AM Thursday to fly to Detroit then drive to Ohio! Worth the sleep deprivation. No heat up there to scare crowds away. My cousin was at SFFT on Saturday but the heat wasn't bad enough to scare people off. Just bad enough to make everyone miserable. Today was the first day this part of TX hit the 70s through most of the day. It won't stick but I might make a SFOT or SFFT trip soon while it's still nice.
@@nekomata4641 I think your Ohio park you visited might be just barely better than Elitch Gardens. The weather was too perfect at Disneyland today. All humans alive on the planet were there today. For your Texas parks, I'd say to go in November. Weather still nice, Halloween stuff is over.
@@OklahomaCoasterFan Maybe just a tiny bit better! Wonderful trip. I did walk out with a few bruises on my thigh and extremely sore feet. We may have spent the entire duration the park was open both Friday and Saturday at the park. Worth it! Yeah, I was thinking November might be best mostly since the worst of my grad school stuff will be over by then hopefully. I can deal with the crowds at SFFT since I know the park like the back of my hand- and how to get through it even on a busier day... but quiet days are always the best!
Just discovered your channel, I was hoping I'd find a video covering SF:OT so I'm very happy you have one! It's the only park I've been to more than twice, and have been there probably dozens of times over the years (my parents brought me as a toddler). I'm wondering, what day did you go on? Because I am envious of those lack of crowds, so I need to plan my next visit on a similar day.
SFStL is my home park and whenever Mr Freeze has some of the cars down like that I'm not riding at all. Just doesn't seem right. I know they wouldn't operate it if it was actually dangerous but it just freaks me out.
Grew up going here too, shockwave is awesome and never a wait, titan really is Goliath 2.0, I always though it was just a little more rough because it’s older, both amazing though
Hello Mr. Thrills, as a fellow native in LA ive been here all my life and never visited any other park besides magic, knotts disneys and universal. Now that i can maybe save up for a trip or 2, what would your top 3 park recommendations be for coasters to someone like me, to get the widest best possible variety and fun. assuming cedar point is one on the list. (And excluding disneyworld as im going next year). Thanks for taking your time to read and i love your vids!
2:30am, that's not the most insane time to have to go to an airport. On my recent trip to Atlanta, we had to be up at 1:45am to get to Philadelphia for a 6:40am. flight. Add insult to injury, it was over Thanksgiving break, so both PHL and ATL were slammed. It was worth it for Aeriforce 1, and Six Flags Over Georgia.
Hi Chris, can you recommend a few places you stayed when you visited this park? I'm trying to research and many many too many places sound really real sketchy. Thanks!
The skibob ride has an awful bump that can be a back breaker... really hurt when I went on it. It was a single bump and i still remember what point in the ride it was!
I was there the day that lady died on it. We went on it that day and before that they never were as hard as they are now. She was a very big lady so I’m assuming they staple for that very reason to make extra sure. Definitely a weird day considering we were about to go ride it before leaving and would have been around for it had my little step brother not complained so hard about wanting to go home. I thought they would take it down or something. But It’s still great.
SFOT is my home park so I've NTG a whole bunch. All I can say is that it's really a betting game with the ops you get. Some ops staple really bad, but there are also ops who leave a little bit of room so you can get all the air time possible. My odds have been about 50/50 when it comes to stapling.
I love this park, but they seriously need to re-up their theming in their areas, like the Gotham city area for example, theming on the rides is amazing but the area surrounding it looks sparse, maybe theme up the haunted house space behind the Harley Quinn attraction to Arkham asylum?
