Years ago, here in Oulu, Finland, there was a Garlic weekend. Garlic in everything. Chocolate, ice cream, candy floss, beer, vodka etc. - and I mean A LOT!! To me, it was the Muttz Nuttz. After heavily indulging both days, I had to fly back to the UK on the Sunday night as I did once or twice a month (I worked at Nokia, to the office in Camberley). That night, the stench on the small MD-11 was mingin'! I was happy, being a garlic lover, but some people were gagging - it was funny!
Just watching this, and you are replying to comments in real time, feels weird but current! The Isle of Wight has a garlic festival every year. Never been but it's on the list. Love your videos, mate.
Great chicken dish Adam . I remember seeing a recipe for a roast whole garlic chicken that was stuffed with over 40 gloves of garlic in its backside 😂😂😂. Actually if you roast whole gloves of garlic they taste slightly sweet and not potent. Only mincing garlic enhances the flavour. If I were to tweek your recipe I would add mushrooms, a little sherry or white wine, a teaspoon of grain mustard and parsley which always marry well with the garlic. 😅😅😅

Rabbit lovely they breed like crazy hence the saying a cheap easy plentiful food but we all know soon as it gets popular the price goes up great recipe adam
A nice simple recipe, great stuff Adam. I've spent half the day just cleaning my kitchen, you know, the one you do about every three months (move the microwave and clean under etc.). And sanded and oiled my cutting boards. I'll make this one tomorrow after work.
Ohhhhh, that looks gooooooood!!!! Great job. If you really like garlic and chicken combined, you should try 40 Clove Chicken. It's delicious. Have a great day.
Good one Adam, gonna try this one this week. I'm a garlic fanatic and ill admit it, I sometimes i like to nibble on a bit of raw garlic as im chopping. I love it. thanks again!!
I make something similar but using leftover roast chicken. This sort of thing is a great way to use up the scraps off a carcass before it goes in the stock pot. Thanks for uploading Adam 🙂.
Very tasty and very healthy with that delicious garlic. I’m on holiday in Cyprus at the moment, but I will always check in with your channel every week regardless Adam.
Hi Adam, what’s not to love about this….my lot love garlic though I’m not to keen…but thats ok as I can have cheesy beens on toast as my lot can eat the chicken….thanks once again…👍👏
Garlic 🤤.... Just wrote the recipe out and put it into my personal recipe book. I made moussaka yesterday and I made a big one then portioned it and bunged it in the freezer. I make alot of stuff and freeze it for later, it helps the wallet lol. Where's Mog's? Missed seeing your fur baby. Much love to you both from me and Mr Pippin 🐈
You know, I've never actually tried moussaka before. I don't know why 🤣. Mogs is all good, he was snoozing when I made this so didn't want to disturb him. He gets grumpy AF if I wake him 🤣
Hello from Canada. I must say that I love you channel and your recipes. I share your videos on my social media. Thank you for helping feed my family. All the best to you.
Probably not a meal to eat the night before seeing a dentist. But definitely a Do any other time. A very easy and straight forward recipe, use as much or as little garlic as you like. Garlic deodorant body spray and after-shave isn't such a bad idea. Probably make a good insect repellent. I bought a can of Solo body spray and it has that distinct lemon aroma of spray on ironing aid. Makes me smell like a freshly ironed shirt 😉 Cheers Adam 👍🤤😀 Pats for Mogs 😻
I'm subbed to several cooking/food channels but YOUR recipes are the ones I actually make! This is tonight's tea but I'm doing it with orzo. I'm going all-out garlic (in for a penny...) with Heston's steam-fried broccoli recipe I caught on to... twenty years ago? Red hot lidded pan with plenty of olive oil (breaking the rules, I know), chuck in some well-washed and wet broc, lid on, let it sear and steam for a few minutes, chuck in some sliced garlic and some salt, a good shake about, another few minutes and you've got yourself the best side-dish known to man. Slightly charred, garlicky veg that I'd happily eat as a main! Give it a bash! That said, if you've got any other ideas for sides/veg, we'd love to hear 'em!? Happy eating!
My husband is a garlic lover like you and I will be making this for him. Only problem is, he'll have garlic oozing from his pores for days and days after, not great😂
Adam, I’m a new sub from Texas. I like the fact that you respond to almost every comment. I wonder if the book you got this recipe from was using wild rabbit, and used all the garlic to cover some of the wild gamey taste? See ya next week
I like the look of this, it shall be made. Toss-up between over Rice or Noodles for me. Comment below suggests Mushrooms, seems a good idea. I cannot imagine Chicken without Garlic. Rabbit is delicious but expensive unless you can get wild ones.£5+ for a Rabbit is a lot, I think. As for recipe adjustments, of course, who follows exactly. The long stove-top simmer is a concern. My Instant Pot Pressure Cooker runs a little hot on the Slow Cook function and I sometimes do a long simmer in that, plus it has a timer! Think that will be used.
I have quite a low tollerance for garlic, so I will probably avoid this one. I am not so sure that shallots would be a suitable alternative. I am sure that with a few mushrooms 😅 as well as the shallots, it would be very tasty, but a quite different dish. I was buying some meat in Leeds Market today, and they had whole prepared frozen rabbits for sale at about £9.50.
Errr.... Mr. Garratt; now that you've got a real garden; grow 'wild garlic' and use it in your recipes. It's better, subtler and works. Ohh!!!!..... Don't forget to do a video on the herbs you'll plant in your new garden........
That does look absolutely amazing delicious. The only thing I would change is....NOT ENOUGH GARLIC! 😁😁
The nice lady said 16 cloves, Adam! 🤣

Hahaha fantastic! I recall Rick Stein on one of his TV shows going to a garlic festival and was saying how it's literally I'm everything 🤣

Im definitely gonna try this, but in a slow cooker (cream in near the end).
Would absolutely work In the slow cooker.
Another winner Adam must give this one a go..I love garlic 😮
Hope you enjoy it as much as I did Jane x
Glad to see you BACK and happy in your new digs over the pond. Any more "Canned" recipes coming?

Haha I don't think she likes being on camera 🤣. I am trying to wrestle her banana bread recipe to put on the channel though. It's divine
Looks amazing, I would have added 100ml white wine to that simmering process 👍
You could add a splash of wine for sure
Mmm. My nephew grows garlic. His father grows chickens. Looks like this might be right up our alley. Yum
That's something I want to try my hands at next year, growing garlic

Speaking to my heart Adam....garlic love it...if a recipe calls for 6 I always double it LOL
Garlic is amazing
Looks great! Huge garlic Fan! How is Mogs with it? Couldn't liven up a tin of chicken in white sauce could you?
I’ve a couple tins in the pantry need using, it’ll be a nice way for them to go.
He'd eat it, but cats are lactose intolerant so he can't have it. He had some of the chicken on its own though.

If you don't have sour cream just use full fat Greek (style) yoghurt and some lemon juice. You can even use cream and lemon juice 👍
