I own you thousands of bucks, that my parents have been paying to teachers whose teaching doesn't make sense. Thank you so much

    MCAT note:
    1) no protein digestion in mouth
    2) protein digestion in stomach: parietal cells rel HCL; chief cells rel pepsinogen (zymogen, turns into active pepsin in presence of acid); g cells rel gastrin (+hcl & pepsinogen rel, and - gastric motility)
    3) chyme in duodenum -/> CCK rel (cuz fat in chyme) and secretin rel (cuz acid in chyme). cck -> acinar cells of pancreas -> rel digestive enzymes (ex = trypsinogen, procarboxypeptidase a and b, chymotrypsinogen, proelastase) -> trypsinogen act by enterokinase in duodenum --> trypsin activates other rel digestive enzymes -> AAs, di and tripeptides. secretin -> acinar cells of pancrease -> rel h20 (helps proteases) and hco3- (stabilizes ph).
    4) brush border enzyme at enterocyte (dipeptidase and aminopeptidase) --> AAs, di and tripeptides
    5) apical Na+/H+ antiporter brings Na+ down conc gradient into enterocyte and brings peptides along with it while pushing h+ into lumen. na+/k+ atpase on basolateral side shuttls na+ out of the enterocyte to maintain na+ concentration gradient.
    6) peptidase in enterocyte yield AAs
    7) AAs -> hepatic portal vein -> liver (protein synthesis and AA uptake)

I have so many questions: First, who are you and how did you get this good? Why do you look so young? Where were you when I was failing biology like 35 years ago? Why am I watching and enjoying this so much? Why is there so much chemistry in biology? How can you hold that much info in your brain?.. And why do I feel sooo dumb all of a sudden. ? So many questions and one hell of a learning ride.
