I love how as the two girls begin hugging Po and Laa Laa, Dipsy and Tinky Winky just stand their with their arms crossed like "hey, what about us?"

The actor died. Not the character. In fact, 3 actors voiced Tinky Winky. They were Dave Thompson, Simon Shelton, and Mark Heenehan. Simon Shelton died of hypothermia at the age of 52.

Dave Thompson was fired after less than a year, he's not exactly sure why, given that he was up to all of the physical challenges that came with being inside the suit (he was into yoga at the time), but suspects it might have been because he had difficulty tapping into his inner child that was a requirement for playing the Teletubbies.
slapshot68 Thankfully that opportunity is made available at CBeebies Land Alton Towers. The meet and greet sessions for the Teletubbies at that said theme park takes place after the Teletubbies Big Band live show.
