I hope they bring back the mini because it's such a good size, i think it was a mistake to remove it from the line up and replace it with a plus model that actually adds no benefits
They did it on purpose to force people to pay more for full size phones. They don’t want people using smaller phones that they have to charge less for.
yeah but tbh i was gonna get the iphone 15 but i really want a mini so im getting the 13 mini but idk cuz like its kinda old yk ( i have really small hands like really)

When we go back to the future things won't be so heavy
Just use the regular iPhone, it's 6.1"
yeahh exactly. 6.1 thats too big.@@user1337BE
Tbh if 4 hours of screen on time isn't good enough for you, consider touching grass or go outside without your phone. Great rewiew tho!
With that logic why even have a smartphone at all? Can't believe 54 idiots liked your comment
my average is 12h
@@daeusuntpinza1296 nahhhh
The average is like 6-8 hours for the phones using the most demanding settings like high refresh rate and a high quality screen
Honestly I could touch grass but I will not last long. Its just honestly boring because I live in a place that does not have much to do outside, and I HATE my neighbors. They are always outside and I hate social interaction.
The target market for mini phones are not those who spend hours creating content or watching videos and playing games. They’re people who want a portable, lightweight phone to message occasionally and phone people a couple of times a day. So the battery is more than enough for a couple of days. Not everyone is a content creator, or social media slave.
I’ve had an iPhone 11 for 4 years or so, and so missed my previous 1st gen SE that I’m getting a 13 mini
I'm a heavy user for media consumption and still love this phone lol. I don't think the battery is bad but actually decent.
correct that's why I've been able to get by with the Original SE for years now
@@JustinBallard117 Yea... All fun and games till you give a mini phone to an actual heavy user. An untempered, 80% battery is gonna last about 6 solid hours.
Mind you, apple turns wifi and other things on daily
@@blackleague212 I’m just trying to imagine what scenario a person is in that they are using a phone at full capacity for 6 hours straight with not possibility to charge it. There are literally charging ports everywhere now a days- in your car, at the airport, in food courts, convenience stores… how inconvenient is it to have to plug your phone in after 6 straight hours of use? 😅
It also really helped with my carpal tunnel to not have to hold such a heavy phone and I can text with one hand now. Plus the bigger phones drag my pants down lol
Battery life is great on my 13 Mini. It gets me through the day with 50% left.
I have it too. I love it.
@@cjayscrib I'm a heavy user and when I first got it a month ago i can get 6 hours and 30 mins of screen on time. If you spend the whole day on cellular with gps and what not you'll get around 5 hours

13 mini is my first iPhone and I got it the end of April'23. I am really happy with the performance but battery one should not have high expectations. The interest of small phone came looking iPhone 6 and how slick that was. In this era of big and bigger screen size this mini really stands out as a solo winner of hearts for many buyers.
Dude you're so right, I broke my android phone, had to switch to my old iphone 6s and fell in love with the size. And I order a 13 mini. I don't game or watch video on my phone, so I realize I don't need or want a big phone anymore.
Let a phone be a phone and let a games console be a games console.
I just gone a Mini and freakin love it!!! I love the size and youre right you can hold it with one hand and reach everything. 4 hrs is more than sufficient for anyone to be on their phone.
I finally got my 13 Mini in mid April and I love it so much!
The size is just perfect for me.
I get around 7 to sometimes 9 hours of total usage which is more than enough for me, It easily lasts me through the day.
I’ll keep this phone until it stops getting the newest software or if it goes beyond repair one day
Same here 👍🏾
How u get 7 or 9 hour of usage i have also 13 mini with 95. % health battery and i got 4h maximum 5h of screen on of usage
@@redaboucetta4693 I have a bunch of settings that I don’t need/use turned off to safe battery life. I’ve done that ever since my iPhone 6 back then.
I don’t need Background App Refresh enabled and I’ve also adjusted which apps get access to my location, which also saves battery life.
Makes a huge difference
Lucky I have an 11 with 76% battery health 😂
do you know how much battery it is with 4g?
I've had my iPhone 13 mini for 5 months and I LOVE it! The battery gets through my day because I'm not a heavy camera user and I mainly use Wi-Fi. The small form factor is very convenient and the screen is gorgeous. My intent is to keep mine until Apple stops supporting it, or it wears out. Whichever comes first. Thanks for a thorough and honest review!
I want the 13 mini but I’m scared when it comes to the battery life, I know I’m a heavy user and I don’t think it’ll last a day, I’m still undecided, any advise ? Should I go with the 13 mini ?
@dzdz9345 it will def not last a day maybe 5 hours dont get it if u are a heavy user!!
They’ll eventually come out with this size phone again but with the SE name
@@dzdz9345I play Pokémon go on my mini and it’s a year old and I love it battery lasts a lot longer then people make it seem. And I have a car charger so I always use that when I’m in the car just to get more juice if needed. 0 complaints on the battery life of the 13 mini…

Best iPhone hands down, size makes for more functional UI.
From a manufacturing perspective, considering all the great tech compact into a small case, this iPhone is a marvel.
I've been the proud owner of a green 13 mini for almost a year and it still holds up absolutely great! Battery life is fantastic and more than enough for me.
I have been waited for the smaller phone since years then finally replaced my iPhone XS by 13 mini.
Its best phone i had ever, 5.4" is still big enough screen to write emails, posts on socials and watching YT videos or gaming. No more larger phone ever if possible.
It lays in pocket perfectly no matter you're in work or on sport activities like running or biking, and completely no issues with battery working time - one day of very active up to two days when i am not using phone a lot.
I bought this as my first iphone on March 2023 and i love the size, coming from s20fe (exynos). i dont post much and dont use social media so this is perfect. i already have my ipad so yeah 13mini works for an average user.
I bought my iphone 13 Mini in Apr 2023 , 512GB Product Red , which look so sporty red!! I read many good comments and i decided to get one before apple discontinued . Yes , is very nice and powerful Mini Iphone. Having this phone feels like going back to previous original iphone handy portable size when big phone is yet to be popular . Generally i feel that the charging speed using 20W adapter by Iphone is good and relatively fast enough . It has been long time i miss the feeling of holding such handy phone , whereby we used to use Nokia or blackberry phone form factors. 60Hz refresh rate is good enough for this screen size . Been using 4 mths and still very happy owning this little beast !! You can also get many types of casing on line for as low as S$2 plus with magsafe !!! I have now at least 5 casing cover for my little beast , simply love it and you feel so light in your pocket . If you are considering having a SE or 13 Mini , go for the 13 Mini if you have the budget.

Did your phone have screen issue
I bought the 13 mini last year 2022 September and love it. I went to the store and some sales rep was trying to tell me not to return my iPhone 14 because the battery on the mini was bad. But I did the research and am very happy with my purchase. Forget those big ass phones
I can agree the battery life isn’t that good, it’s still better than even an iPhone 11 or 12. So I think it’s definitely worth the upgrade from one of those.
Upgrade from 12 to 13 mini? Not worth at all and the battery on 12 is much better

My 13 mini is the perfect size and great phone. I will hold onto it as many years as possible unless apple releases another newer mini.
I got mines in June of this year (2023) and have pretty much left my 14 Pro Max as a paperweight somewhere. Totally pleased with the easy to handle size. My MagSafe wallet fits like a glove and as far as battery I always have the Apple MagSafe Battery around just in case. And it also fits the mini like a glove. No regrets so far…bye bye Pro Max…lol
I’m literally about to do the same thing 😂
@@Speckter_im thinking of doing the same lol.
Stop saying that iPhone 13 mini has bad battery life.
RUclips reviewers think that everyone on earth spends 14h a day on screen creating content for social media.
People worry too much about battery life nowadays when there are so many places to charge your phone - at work, school, home, cafeterias, or wherever.
Car
Ive been using 13 mini for 4 months now, I never charge over 80% and still get trough my workday with ease even tho I listen to music for 3-5h of that time. It's been great, smooth, responsive, good camera. But yes, the battery is the weakest link, not bad, but not super good either! It still is probably the best phone you can get that is on the smaller side, which is the reason I got it!
Whats your battery health now?
Had my mini for 2 years and can’t let go of it. Instead of getting a new phone I am just replacing the battery. That’s how much I like my 256 gb 13 mini.
I splurged on the 13 mini a month ago, replacing my iphone 6s, due to the potential for Apple to quit supporting the 6s in 2024. I only use my cell for talking and texting, and an occasional pic, so the battery lasts 3 days and I'm a happy camper! The iphone 6s had to be charged at least every day, and that was w/battery life around 80%.
I sold my iPhone 13 and got the mini 13 . This is it . This is the best iPhone design and size hands down . Will keep this phone till it gives up on
Me . Will only change batteries every 2 years . That’s it .
I got mine for 417 dollars, two weeks ago. It was pre-owned, was in pristine condition, and battery health was 84%.
The battery is still nice, it still lasts within the day, it charges quick too.
My pocket is feeling breezy as well, doesn't bulge that much.
Its size gives me a firm grip to it, especially when driving, without worrying a large-ass screen cracking.
Was worth it, it makes much more sense to have it since phones are not meant to be heavy and tablet-lookin.
How much storage?
@@lilgsmart793 I have 256gb. I only take around 91gb--including games, 4000+ photos, and 100+ documents. Personally, I wouldn't recommend getting the 128gb.
EDIT: I switched to the standard iPhone 13 and wow… this one I have to say is way better. The battery life has lasted me more than 15 hours of moderate use. Sorry, iPhone 13 mini, you were great but your bigger brother is better. Lol.
I actually got it up to 12 hours with a couple of videos, general browsing and social media. The only time I got 7 hours is when I was gaming for 30 mins. I uninstalled it because I don’t really play it that much anyway. That and using 5G.
The battery life is ok, not the best, but just ok. The size is what sells it for me.
You recommend the 12 or 13/13mini?
@@atlanticatmosphere6695 can’t say much about the 12 because I’ve never owned one.
But based on my experience so far, iPhone 13 would be the better option. Sure you can go with the 12 but with the 13 you’ll get an extra year of software support. 13 Mini didn’t hold up when trying to use it for my day to day, but it may be different for you.
But overall, my recommendation is the standard 13, it still holds up.
I think one reality with the mini series is that sure it is compact, but it will always need a charger right next to it.
The fact that being able to use a phone with one hand is a highlight is fucking insane and shows how idiotic consumers are these days with buying massive phones. Also the screen isn't too small for typing, it only feels that way because everyone is used to big phones. But typing on even an iphone 5 was never a problem.
Iphone 5 will be missed ❤
I have a SE 2022 that gets me about 8 hours on a full charge, a 13 mini has a larger battery so you should be lasting all day
Like the vid, especially speaking to the hold-ability of the phone without a case, thanks to it's size and sticky glossy back. Always wish I could go without a case but phones are too big these days. Apple needs to bring this one back as an SE model.
Best phone apple has ever made. I chose to get the 13 mini over all the new tech. There is something about a smaller, portable phone that's just so much better than the huge iPhones today. It also reminds me of an ugraded iphone 4. LOVE THE MINI and it's sad it's been discontinued.
I've been loving using an iPhone 6 (around same size as mini) whilst my iPhone 11 has been broke and actually really loved it 😅 It fits into all my little bags alongside my purse... its much lighter in my hands. Therefore getting refurbished 13 mini.
More importantly, I don't use my phone as a TV for RUclips on it like I did on my 11.. which is HIGHLY addictive. I just use it for what its meant to be: 'mobile'. And whenever I chill out on RUclips I use a tablet or laptop etc. So I'm less addicted to the phone overall and only use it for capturing moments and communication.
I've also noticed how big phones are like completely old fashioned?! Remember the days of chunky, blocky computers! Phones should be as little as Blackberrys were! They should just do good photography and are mobile (depending on your needs obviously as some might want a big screen for google maps if travel a lot)
Still using this device since 2022 no issue great phone
I loved my 12 Mini when I owned it but I will agree battery life wasn’t great, MagSafe battery packs can solve a lot of problems but so can buying a phone with a bigger battery,(my 14 Pro).
I'm getting the 13 mini tommorow!!!! I see great things here for what I want
Mines is coming today :)
@@yakoriawillis1328 Mine is 3 days away:)
I’ve had no issues with the battery life…I use mine to play a full round of golf using the GPS and score tracking which is a big power suck, and I’ve never had any issues with it…
I have really enjoyed my time with this phone and while I do think about replacing it I don’t think I will yet. I really do like its size and for my use the battery normally gets the job done. As I am retired at home I use my iPad (Pro and mini) or my iMac to do most of my “stuff”. When travelling I take most of my phots with a camera. I take videos with the phone, Camra P3, and the results are superb - often adding the Moment anamorphic lens. I ridge a bicycle a lot and Ethel size fits comfortably into my bike jersey rear pockets.
apple never should’ve canceled the mini iphone. they could easily keep this form factor and make it the se4. to a lot of population there with small hands simply CANNOT handle a “regular” size phone.
Everyone who has a job and a life outside of „media“, basically lives in the real world will not complain about this battery
I love my 13min because it suits me. Not upgrading anytime soon, even someone gives me an iPhone 15 pro max I wouldn’t use it. I need a phone that I can easily put in my pocket, as well as be able to text in one hand
Who uses Google Maps everyday? Unless you're a food delivery service person, or similar, you wouldn't need to. Same for taking pics/vids; that's something you do when there's a need for it not regularly every day. I have the 12 mini, and even that suffices for my needs (though I'm not a heavy user), so the 13 mini should be ok for those who use their phones normally and are not running Google Maps or taking pics/vids all the time!
I think battery life is great on this small phone.
When I use Google Maps, I plug in my iPhone
When I’m walking and use Google Maps, then I’ll use it for maybe 10-15 minutes and that’s good enough
It charges fast, so no complaint about that. I really love my iPhone 13 mini, coming from an iPhone 12 mini
I have the 12 mini now. Just ordered the 15, but wondering if I should just get the 13 mini instead.
13 mini, pls :) @@whome6081
got iphone 12 mini before, 13 mini battery better?
Love my iPhone 13 mini…as for the keyboard, if you are swiping instead of typing, it’s fire! Much easier than the bigger phones.
The battery might not be the best but for someone that averages 3 hours of screen time a day then it's fine. And honestly you shouldn't be staring at your phone for like 6 hours a day anyway. Also even on days that I'm on my phone longer I'll just plug it in. during the day, problem solved lol
I bought this and waiting this day, this is very compact and fast phone
Thinking heavily about downgrading from my 13PM. Maybe I’d find more use out of a tablet sized phone if there was any software changes that allowed more use. But there isnt. So im left carrying around a tablet sized phone for no other reason other than the great battery life. Not having the pro cameras and at least a 90 hrtz refresh rate really does suck if i do the switch. Man, I’d buy a mini sized pro so quick.
I have a 256gb Iphone 12 mini that I’ve purchased in 2020 but the battery has depleted to 75%…. Like mostly everyone here, I love the small form factor. Now, I’m in a dilemma buying a 512gb Iphone 13 mini at a very good price or wait for the iphone to change to a usb-c port. Any advice?
PS: I really hate the 6.1 inch and above form factor 😂

If you have any kind of life, besides being on your phone constantly, battery life isn’t an issue
I'm watching this as I'm trying to decide which iPhone to get to replace my iPhone6 which is the most up to date phone I've ever owned.
So what about all the stuff about battery life ? No problem, when in my car I charge my phone and small portable power banks can be found anywhere these days. I'd rather have a small phone and keep a power bank handy when it's needed than have to hold a larger phone when making calls .
Just wish they'd kept headphone jacks on these newer phones .

I would ABSOLUTELY buy the iPhone 17 MINI if they ever made it again
Thank you for the review. I will upgrade to the iPhone 13 mini from an iPhone 8 that i bought five years ago. I prefer the 5.4 inch size and don’t need all the best bells and whistles.
Same! From my lovely 8 which is still 82% battery I think I will switch to this 13 mini genius!
I wish that you could still buy these new. I have one and I love it but son will have to replace his 6s soon and everything for sale right now is physically bigger.
This is definitely going to be better than my iphone 6s
I love my 13 mini…using it for 1.5 years…for me battery life is great….my average screen time is 2.5 hours a day.
I am going from an Iphone 6S to the 13 mini. I don't care for gaming or using the camera. Just wanted something thats more up to date (2 generations behind from the 15) better battery life, and more storage (going from 32GB to 128 GB lol). I use it mostly for text, calls, IG/YT and fantasy sports.
Did I make the right choice?
Great decision. I’m still annoyed that Apple killed the mini series so if you’re going to buy a mini I’d recommend you buy it now. The screen is perfect for someone coming from a smaller phone like the 6s and you won’t need to worry about storage anymore
This 13 Mini, is surely the only iPhone that interests me, it would be very practical in second smartphone, but I expect its price in 2nd hand to go down around $250 maximum 😅

Just upgraded from the XS to a Product Red 13 Mini. I knew I was swapping my XS this year, as it's about to lose the latest iOS, but its battery health (or lack of it) hastened the upgrade.

I love love LOVE my new iPhone 13 mini. I've had it about a month. However, I must take issue with you about the slipperiness of the phone. I consider it very slippery. I have purchased an Apple leather case for it. I'm so sad that Apple won't be making leather cases for iPhones in the future.
Could you please elaborate on why anyone would want to use 5G all the time? It’s simply not needed for almost any usecase.
turning off 5G and slapping the magsafe battery pack on this phone made it an all day champ. I regularly get home at the end of the day with the phone having at least 80% left.
I love my IPHONE 13 Mini, reminds me and feeling like the first IPHONE in 2007
If i need bigger screen i have the ipad. For something that is in the pocket all time, i need something light. Apple really did wrong killing it and introducing the Plus which literally sells lesser than the mini. Zzz. Love my 12mini❤

i think a person that wants this mini version is beacuse doesn't use the phone that much, so the switch from a 90hz display to a 60hz isn't a problem.
The main feature of this phone is its size, that is what matters for buyers.

You deserve more for this kind of quality content! Very well made video 👍🏼👍🏼
It’s crazy to me that people spend more than 4 hours per day on their phones.
I checked out iPhone sizes as I have the 3rd gen se from release. Me and my partner need an upgrade soon and the only iPhones we would think of upgrading to is 13 mini. Now I hear apple have discontinued it. So basically if no 4th gen iPhone comes out by April next year we are screwed as the only small phone left is the iPhone 15 pro 🙄. The only reason I would buy that is because of the Lock Screen time display feature 👌🏻. Always wanted that from having a Samsung toco lite back in the day and I think the Samsung D500 when that came out. Great phones
If they ever make a mini pro I will buy it in a heart beat
Sadly, I went to search in offline stores, but they don't keep it saying it's out of production!

I have an iPhone 13 mini and while the A15 it’s still pretty top-tier it runs really hot. Oh, and if you’re not careful can lead to lag in games. So remember lower screen brightness don’t play outside, play in well Cool down areas. And have an external fan attachment and you should be just fine.

I just regret order the iPhone 15 pro Max.
I hope the new SE is this form and size and in white 🐻❄️
u can type in landscape mode, which is another reason that makes this size better, u cant comfortably type landscape mode on a bigger phone
All I want from a phone these days is the ability to load certain apps that will not load on my current Galaxy A3 and be not too large. I ordered a Galaxy S23 last week and turned it around immediately, wayyyyy too large and far too heavy. I like a smaller screen and being able to put the phone in my pocket without it causing me to limp...
I would rather have to chrage my phone a bit more often than having to carry an absolute 1kg brick like iphone 15 pro max.
