I finished chapter 1 too and it was a pleasant and fun experience. I like this version of Max. She has more confidence and fun to be around. The only pity so far is that the cat hasn't shown up at my door yet. 😊 The story is building up slowly at a natural pace and that's good to see. Most characters you meet seem to have their own agenda so you have to think about who to trust or not with information. Personally I try to be a bit secretive. So far I haven't made any decisions I regret, but I guess I won't know until chapter 2 or later. I will play chapter 2 today and have high hopes the good start will continue.

"555" in phone numbers is supposed to be the 'Hollywood' prefix. It's reserved so you don't call an actual person if you dial the number (Although you'd likely need the area code (another three digits) to get the right regional area -- I guess they don't want to give someone too much information and have them try to find where the made-up college is in the real world and thus the 'real-world' analog of Max or whatever and end up seriously annoying someone and wind up in court. I think I read there are so many phone numbers in play that even the "555"s are now starting to be tapped for service. You can bet that user agreement has an extra block or two of solid legalese. ;)
Really enjoying so far! Max's VA Hannah Telle has such an amazing voice and it just makes me happy whenever I hear her. Love how they've continued Max's character progression as well! Excited to see how many more characters Emma falls in love with lol
Wow, I'll leave this series to watch later since I don't want to receive any spoilers from this game, but I hope it delivers a great continuation for this character of ours that we love so much, despite certain questionable choices they made

Was so torn on whether to watch or wait to avoid spoiling anything for myself; glad I chose the former. There look to be so many choices I will find my own unique path, but glad we got to see the Emma's eye view
I think it was actually good we could play a normal Max for quite awhile. I think the way she found her new power was a good one and it couldn't have happened earlier than it did. I expected chapter 1 to just set the stage and let us get introduced to Caledon and the characters there. The real story starts from chapter 2. I wouldn't have liked if Deck Nine had rushed Max into detective mode. Then you wouldn't have had time to build any relations to Safi, Moses and the others.

I don't know what the hell was Decknine thinking by making them grew apart if you saved Chloe. There are many other ways you can keep Chloe out of the narrative without making them split up.

How could they reconcile when David had moved to Arizona in LIS 2? He was then living in the same trailer park as Sean's and Daniel's mother Karen. I don't think Deck Nine will alter actions that already took place in earlier LIS games. It would have been hard to have Chloe active in Double Exposure since the story is happening at Caledon university. Chloe can't live there. I don't think Max would have accepted to move to Caledon if she lived with Chloe. They should at least remain friends and exchange messages. I can't tell if that's happening in Double Exposure because Chloe isn't alive in my version. I got some initial messages from Chloe's mother, Joyce. So I guess Deck Nine are letting remote contacts communicate with messages.

Unfortunately, it was a bad decision to let Chloe die, because this way she can no longer appear in the game, at least not in real life. There will certainly be dream-like sequences even if they let her die, either way it will be heartbreaking. However, the illogical conclusion of saving Chloe and thus sacrificing the majority is one of the best decisions simply because the story of the two continues. Maybe not with a happy ending but still with a dynamic between the two characters that Life Is Strange absolutely needs to reach epic status!

MINOR SPOILERS BELOW... * * The graphic novels follow the "Bae" timeline, and even though "timey-whimey" stuff separates them for a time, Max and Chloe ultimately remain together. And yes, they are lovers. Also, we find out there's a parallel reality where Rachel is still alive and she and Chloe -- a different Chloe from Max's obviously -- are living happily together in California.
I really hoping for u to pick "...old sweethearts" ,then "we broke up" choices. I for one ,Loved pricefield ,but kimda dissapointed that they broke up after all that. Bit then again ,there are 5 episodes in total ,so I was hoping for max to contact & reunited with Chloe in the finale ending ,if the player keeps Amanda just as a cool friend ,not a live interest. (Hey ,I'm not saying u made the wrong choices. This is your gameolay ,Your choices & consequences.ok?👍) Since I can't play this since My Laptop is too old for this (sucks that I only able to play until TC😢),YT walkthroughs is my only hope to catch up.

Well, I can't say I like this kind of marketing. They charge people $20 extra, just so they can play it earlier. And Influencer, Streamer and so on are getting it for free and even earlier than earlier. And I just don't get it. People who watch it here, probably won't buy the game and people who buy the game, won't watch it here until they finished. And for most people, this will be in 2 weeks. So who's the audience for this kind of marketing? Nothing against you, but I'm seeing this kind of stuff gets more and more common, and I just hate it.

I already imagined that Chloe would have a smaller role. What bothered people, including me, was the way they mischaracterized her. Chloe is far from a perfect character, she has flaws arising from her traumas and her difficult personality, but above all Dontnod described Chloe as someone loyal willing to sacrifice herself if necessary for those she loves, and Deck Nine for some reason destroyed this by completely changing Chloe's personality from LiS. 1 and BTS and this definitely doesn't respect the ending chosen for the players who saved her, in fact, the game forces you to make the worst decisions. I tried to play these two episodes with an open mind, but unfortunately, even though I liked Max and the soundtrack, Deck Nine lied and ruined something that was important to fans over these almost 10 years. I'm happy for those who will have and are having a great experience, I wish it had been like that for me. I have refunded and will wait for spoilers for the remaining 3 episodes.

Ill watch until i go "nah i gotta wait till the 29th" but im really sad, i thought i bought the pre released version at the end of last month 😭😭 ended up buying the normal base game, but im so excited to see max's redemption, i see a ton of people mad abt chloe being gone but imo she was clearly never going to be around forever, if you look at their other games each super powered person kinda has to take the entire journey solo, and chloe was this "bad influence" telling her to be a badass, instead of deliberate and smart with her powers, max is her own person and i want to see her use her own powers without other people babying her, or telling her she is the cause of all the evil in the world, no other super powered person has had that kind of internal conflict and i wish they didnt do her so dirty 😂
and you summed it up perfectly right after the final reveal like 9 minutes to the end, their is almost a trauma response to her powers, i wish she just was like daniel or alex, cool, powerful, badass, and also has bad shit happening to them just like any other human person, instead of this pseudo-marvel "with great power comes great loss of friends" bs lol
