INFJ here close with alot of INTPs in my life some more Ne then Ti and some are the typical INTP, I agree sometimes you can be passive-aggressive towards people which is unnecessary but when you guys get older you realize that it's not gonna help you at all, if you keep it up you're gonna be really lonely people and I doubt anyone wants to be alone for the rest of their life even introverts. My INTP doesn't like people much but he is very friendly and I can say the same about my sister, well developed INTPs with good Fe are more pleasant to be around. Things I like about your Type: 1- Able to collect alot of information/data curious Ti is incredibly sexy. 2- Standing up for yourself and not taking bullshit from others if needed ( rebellious Ne). 3- Unconditionally loving the person you care for, that is if they are special to you and I know this is hard for most of you but INTPs are very affectionate and kind with me. 4- Ability to detach yourselves from situations without involving your emotions, this I can never do. ( English is not my first language).
Thanks for your input! I think your english is just fine! rebellious Ne is especially good to have. Also #3 is definitely true. Even with women that I have had past relationships with and will not allow in my life anymore I still love them on base level and I don't think it will ever go away. Fe inferior can get very strong in INTPs if they really try and when they reach that the amount of caring and love that they display for others is incredible.
But they are tho in the ways that matter to a ti dom And that's a very subjective and unfair way to judge people But intp'e do this all the time( in their head)
I agree socrates was an INTP. The reason he was relentless with questioning and getting closer to the "truth" was his experiences with the brutalities of war. Most INTPs have not had those experiences and would have an unlimited amount of questions but kept them to themselves. I think most INTPs keep things to themselves and types that are more extraverted assume they are arrogant and are to good to respond. In my experience more people suffer from dunning Kruger syndrome than we might realize, and they actually label us as stupid more often than they label us as arrogant.
The only issue I have with the socratic method is that sometimes people just state feelings without caring for logic. I am therefore unable to grasp what they are trying to tell me. For example someone saying a joke, I don't understand the joke, then I ask "hey, what does that mean?", and then the joke isn't funny anymore. So, I can't spam socratic everywhere
When you said," I do have high standards for the level of interest someone has to show to get on an interview.." , I was like every intuitive entity ever. I'm an INTP, I sometimes have been getting different results- INTJ and INFJ both of them, twice. But I can actually relate to INTP. I'm INTP 5w4, been quite detached lately from my curious personality, and been quite idle.
Don’t tell INTPs to ask the why question to absurdity because it will lead to breakup in a romantic relationship. I tell my INTP that I don’t like when he does something because it makes me uncomfortable and upsets me. And he goes “yeah but why does it make you uncomfortable?” And here I am having to plead a case, defend my dignity and fight him with pure reason when it is just something that emotionally triggers me and I want it to stop because it makes me suffer. I say this and again “yeah but what is the reason of your discomfort?” Like shut up. Respect my feelings and trust them and take them at their value don’t f*** challenge with reason every single thing that I say. If anything, INTPs have to learn empathy and compassion and taking other people seriously.
I'm so abrasive with my Ti, not only when I tell stuff to other people, even when I asked questions during classes my lecturers would be rubbed off the other way. Lol
So i assume the esfp interview is not gonna happen ( probably couldn't meet the standard) It would be interesting to see a se dom ti blind interact with a ti dom se blind
@@rileydunn2832 You seem like a huge CS Joseph fan, I am too. I've been following him since he started on youtube. My ex is an INTP and he had an inkling that there were some logical inconsistencies; we broke up and now I have no INTP to ask lol have you found any logical inconsistencies yet? Just curious-I'm an INTJ and have been dying to pick an INTPs brain for so long now.
@@valeriedunn4469 You are correct I am definitely a big CS Joseph fan. That is awesome you have been following him so long! I wish i had started sooner. In terms of logical inconsistencies, I honestly have not found any that underpin his whole theory, sometimes i definitely disagree with him on minor points that are not consistent that he mentions in passing during his lectures. 80% of what i know about depth psychology is from him. 80/20 principle lol. I sometimes have a hard time with the type grid and prefer to use cognitive functions to type people primarily and then confirm with type grid. Honestly though the 4 sides of the mind theory is what i love the most. It immediately resonated with me personally and what I had observed in others. I wholeheartedly believe in the 4 sides as CS Joseph describes them. Also if you read alot of his reading list you will see where his whole philosophy comes from. My favorite is “games people play” by Eric Berne. You will soon find exactly where the mechanics of cognitive synchronicity come from. Also some of CS Josephs life advice has changed my life. Like i have made huge changes in my life and moved across the country because of it.
@@rileydunn2832 My favorite has been, surprisingly enough, John Beebe. But I love how he has integrated everything. I like AJ Drenth too; and if you can stomach the sentimental hokum which overshadows most of the Personality Hacker content, you'll find a delightful amount of unique insight. The Four Sides of the Mind Joseph model has had me entranced for years...absolutely fascinating. You moved cross-country because of it?! haha sorry, that deserves an interrobang! Edit: not sure why I wrote 'surprisingly enough'..I love anything written by any INTP, ever. I mean, Richard Dawkins is pretty much #1 on my celebrity hall pass list lol I don't care if he's 40+ years older than I am. Bertrand Russell is another favorite author of mine; so, I thank you, in advance, for letting me pick your brain!
I am going to be making a series for how to have a good relationship with every single type, also videos on each cognitive function should definitely help with relationships. As for career im only 22 years old and the verdict is still out on whether it will be successful so I don’t think im qualified.
I might use this to learn to find peoples Fe feels less stupid (ignoring Fi values, actual deep feelings, lots of utterly unnecessary, crippling pain that people and creatures are in just because we don't care, AND ignoring Te what works for everyone, but hey! Amosphere rules!! Let's just brush over anything that truly matters!! Because: Yayyyy!). See I do the same thing in my head just for other peoples "values". Thank you for the inspiration. ENFP

This was very helpful thank you! Lately I’ve been very stuck in that everyone is stupid mindset and it’s very alienating.

How to be successful in career and relationships as an INTP ??
I really need videos on this topic
