pretty cool... you really need a portaband though.. 90% of the cuts you make in this video dont require a you throw sparks all over your shop with an angle grinder

I can’t take any more of these videos that use damn angle grinders to cut everything. I live in residential area and they hear almost nothing. Band saw and plasma, and sometimes diamond blade. Plus I mostly TiG so no mess, no burned ankles. Love welding with shorts and flip flops. No slag on my toes.

if you wanna make a lathe yourself you should look up making a pole lathe, you can make one of those almost entirely out of wood with hand tools.
