Wow this tool is amazing.😃 I couldn't figure out the working initially and though it didn't support some of my videos, the results were very satisfactory.👍🏼
I am trying this right now, will upload result on my channel Result: i am very happy with this program, the video may have some artifacts, but it is still very good even if your video is sd. The program works SUPER fast, the installation, the encoding all works flawlessly, even on an 7 year old laptop. Very nice program.

Had difficulty with DAIN and Flowframe, FrameGUI works like a dream. Had a few slow, choppy 30fps videos that it interpolated brilliantly to 120fps without chopping. Although I suspect that 120fps provides no benefits to 60fps, but alas. DaGoose is da man!

@@pikapikalis Ok you clearly don't have a functioning brain, FPS increases only work on videos with a stable animation, a.k.a a constant frame rate so if you use a game and you drop frames you will experience issues, also literally every video you see of FPS comparisons using AI is always animations and not games and also websites also use animations to give an example and even state it's for animations so do your research first moron
Great job. I really liked it. But there are missing important options. For example, it would be much better to have saving in uncompressed or lossles formats - ffv1 / lagarith-YUV or YV12 and so on. However, the video you converted was of excellent quality and does not require further processing. But when someone like me tries to improve the quality of old video, he uses several editing programs. And constant rate quality is not the most preferred form of compression. Nevertheless, thank you for the good video and the work for it, but also for the clear explanation and the program!
Does anyone else have issues with AMD Ryzen 9 CPU following this guide? My computer just shuts off halfway through encoding every time (I assume my CPU temperature gets too hot). Ryzen 9 3900x; 32GB Ram. Did someone with similar hardware find a solution ?
Thx for the cool application you made! Does this software use AI RIFE 3 technology for the frame interpolation? Could you maybe add minimal input fps 12? Animations rendered at 12 fps could then easily be interpolated to 24 fps.

Hey man, you are just amazing on this part. Just had one doubt In the latest version if you see in Encoder Settings -> framerate tab we can't change framerate and in SVPFlow -> Input FPS is fixed. can't we change that?
When frame rate upscaling becomes fast and easy, would it not make more sense to encode in a lower frame rate and let this be done on playback? AFAIK, this is how AV1 handles intentional visual noise; it takes up most of the file size to encode in. AV1 takes that out of the encode and adds an approximation that video players are expected to mask the video with on playback. With frame interpolation done to create a new source, it just wastes additional encode time and some file size.
I see your point, but it’s not the reality right now, and probably won’t be for a long time. To get good frame interpolation in real-time requires high end hardware which 99.9% of the PC market doesn’t have. AV1 by itself isn’t efficient either. Regardless, it’s not ideal for laptops running on battery power either. The battery would be drained by real-time interpolation just as quick as if you were gaming. Most cell phones and other mobile devices wouldn’t be able to do this either. Storage is cheap, GPU and CPU power is not. Creating a new source is ideal so that it’s a one-and-done encode and when you open the video in a video player, it won’t have to interpolate the video every time.
@@DaGoose I'll give you that 'til already old hardware dies off. And as for battery powered devices. It maybe worth it for power savings in those cases. But, consider data costs and caps. I think VP9 is supported by nearly all devices currently in use. AVC by those and any that don't. Then you don't have to care about that if you only distribute through platforms that recode it anyway. I have a 4Mbps connection and often have to downgrade to 720p on YT, even if the video is encoded in AV1. Ludicrous, I live record to AV1 at 100Kbps 1080p, and it's higher quality than you could ever find live streamed the first few years people were live streaming online.
