Very helpful. Cheers ;) I found that if you just go to sequence, then settings, you can just change the sequence fps and then export in H.264 and it will come out in your desired framerate. Either way, Nice explanation :D
well yes in that way the sequence and file will be 60fps... but if the video file you're editing is 30fps, it will still be 30fps after rendering lmfao
@@frostmusicofficial Of course. Once you’ve shot a video at a certain FPS, no matter what frame rate you render it at, it’ll always only be as fast as the source material
Of course it will make any video look smoother, it is doubling the frame rate. Of course doubling the frame rate isn't simple, it requires one of those methods of frame sampling, frame blending, or the optical flow which apparently is the most advanced one. I think frame blending is the oldest method and it gives more of a motion blur effect, it isn't bad. Frame sampling then came next I think and tried to more intelligently make a new frame in between that isn't just a simple blend, and then optical flow appears to be the next evolution of frame sampling. Either way, it's pretty good. Because I render out in 3ds Max at 30fps, because rendering out at 60fps is just far too slow, it takes so long to render stuff, so it's easier to manipulate frame rates and add even blurring or anything in premier to fine tune the video.
Hi, and thanks for the video!! Does the optical flow interpolate missing images ? From 30 to 60 I guess there are some images added.. Look at the bottom right where the name of the city is... It's supposed to be that shaky and glitchy? I've done mine on (a game that has 30FPS cutscene) When it plays, everytime it changes scene, there's this weird looking warping going on.
This is the problem with upscaling. The software has to build frames to put between the frames that already exist. Artefacting is a common problem in this case. It's better to just record at 60fps if the scene being filmed has a lot of fast movement relative to the camera. The trade off is more captured frames, which means double the processing time in consolidating footage and rendering. However, the footage will not contain artefacts, resulting from the software guessing where the pixels should be. If you want good footage, focus on good capture is the mantra of any kind of film and audio recording practitioner. Processing 30fps captured footage to be as good as 60fps is a time consuming project that even Hollywood professionals have trouble with. Consumer grade hardware and software, on a consumer's schedule, just won't pump out the product fast enough unless they stream once or twice a week. Or only for half an hour each day... Probably not an accurate breakdown of the time factors involved but you get the point... More frames=more processing=more time spent. Your better off spending the time on capture, and the money on bigger storage for capture if you want each frame to be 'as was' when it was filmed.

No. Your Mac will throttle itself, cooling itself but giving you reduced performance. You may want to get your Mac checked out, though, as this seems out of line for a "quality" product.
Good video but if you need to reuse the video in another editor (i.e. rendering again), then you really want to use a raw format to render to in 60fps. Problem with using any typical codec is they are lossy, so each render will slightly degrade the video quality. Raw format will create a gigantic file (30 seconds will be up to 55gb) which will be hard to edit, but the quality will not be degraded!

My Mac is Overheating when It is Rendering and exporting, Does this affect my Mac? Will it explode?
No. Your Mac will throttle itself, cooling itself but giving you reduced performance. You may want to get your Mac checked out, though, as this seems out of line for a "quality" product.
how to open mpeg file?
is it necessary to match sequence settings?
Yes you must click Keep as the sequence settings will change to say 30 fps or match the video your using
My Mac is HEATING While exporting and rendering...... What should I do? Is is okay if it is heating?
specs?
Its a piece of shit. Get a windows.
might be handy for some of my 30 fps vp9 videos..
same steps if i want to convert down ?? from 60 to 30 ??
Not sure but it should work ok
I think the best way to show which converts 30fps to 60fps the best, is to show gameplay with a cross-hair for example.
thx now i can watch my favourite anime in 60fps its not perfect tho frames kinda glitching out but still pretty good
I was thinking of doin the same thing. Does it work alright?
Thanks man you really helped me out
Good video but if you need to reuse the video in another editor (i.e. rendering again), then you really want to use a raw format to render to in 60fps. Problem with using any typical codec is they are lossy, so each render will slightly degrade the video quality. Raw format will create a gigantic file (30 seconds will be up to 55gb) which will be hard to edit, but the quality will not be degraded!
Does this work i have a 30fps clip i wanna make it 60 fps
Yes should work fine
What if i wanted to do 1080 by 1080

Hey bro, why am i getting a black screen when i open the rendered video?
Hello what player are you using to play the video ?
I've tried using the windows 10 player and windows media player, thanks for the fast reply!
Edit: I fixed it, i just re rendered it as mp4, but the text of my gameplay is warping. How do I fix that?
Could you take a pic of problem ps it could be where the frames blend which you can't do much about, you could try converting using MeGUI to see if it still does it see this guide ruclips.net/video/MeFTECavrPA/видео.html
Okay using meGUI i get an error
Your AviSynth clip has the following problem:
Error in AviSynth script:
Script error: There is no function named 'SetMTMode'.

was the first video actually 30 fps
Yes
@@Eyerex
I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE, like isn't this like zooming a 1920*1080 photo and getting high def. Zooms?
Zooming an image or video would make things worse as you would see the pixels what this and others do is take the first frame and second frame and make a blend of the two and so on with every other frame to double it
I don't have this option "Time Interpolation" HALP!
What version of Prem are you using
@@Eyerex Nvm, found out yesterday it's for version Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2015.1 I have 2014.8 Already updated (RIP!) Can't update to the next major version becaue of limited licence. I found another tool anyway.
