I think the most impressive thing I heard, was having a 15 year old be that motivated and forward thinking for their future. Rare and great parenting.
Yep, that's what drove her success
I'm almost 30 years old. Those kids are born every year, they are motivated from the beginning and till the end. They actually stand out in class, but no one pays them attention cause they are on another level. If you Google the kids that pop in your mind in your youth, those kids made it. Trust me.
Welcome to the team! Looking forward to hearing more from you
congrats Kristina! nice to see you are continuing to build upon your successes!
Praise God for opening doors for you, sister! Keep sharing this great advice for out youth!
Congratulations Kristina. You are an inspiration and a radiant light. I pray you continue to soar and impact more people! Well done! Well done!
Wow! I’m so impressed by the new addition to the Ramsey team. Looking forward to hearing from you and your words of wisdom (maybe even hearing from your awesome mom too).
Welcome to the Team , excited to learn more from you.
As a minority woman, of a single parent home, daughter of immigrant.... scholarships are not hard to find
That is true, she is definitely a special case. However I think a lot of people should follow the same principles. Especially getting grades up, working during school, and doing applications until you are sick of it. I think Dave was really looking for somebody with knowledge in this neck of the woods because college is a really tough topic for him to touch on while teaching not to get debt.
My wife is from Venezuela Great and I love to see the success of another Venezuelan person! What an amazing story, congratulations!
Dave needs to have her start a parallel talk show but all in Spanish to reach a Spanish speaking audience!
I’ve never understood. I used fast web to apply, along with my daughter, for any scholarship she could qualify for. We literally applied to 100. Never heard a peep from any of them. And most said they would be awarded to kids with “demonstrated academic need.” We are fortunate that we are not in that category, but I feel like we wasted days of our lives. 🙄
She is sooo beautiful and inspiring! I’m excited to see what she has to say moving forward
She has many factors that would get her scholarships. In addition to excellent grades, leadership roles, and extracurricular activities, she is raised by a single mom and is most likely the first person in her family to go to college. I work in a high school, and I have seen time and time again that if two students had about the same GPA, similar activities and leadership roles, same number of volunteer hours, etc., the student who has a demonstrated financial need or is the first in his/her family to go to college would most likely get the scholarship. The other student might not even be eligible to apply. If anything, this shows that kids from low income backgrounds can "afford" college with some effort.
There is a good strategy to pick the schools that have money as well. Some top tier schools and scholarships have great scholarship programs depending on your financials situation. I got scholarships at private schools that were cheaper than my instate public school. There’s A LOT of strategy in scholarships.
All my fellow citizens supported me financially during college, and now I help the next generation.
This is an awesome surprise, i just bought your book on Amazon a week ago.
Glad to see a new personality. Only issue is we are about to go through a major societal change... College is dang near useless today with ROI and tons of cheaper classes(or free) available online.
????? College is even more important than ever before, with everyone wanting to be an "actor" or influencer college it is imperative to stand out with a bachelor's in the wave of unemployed self taught learners
A new prospective. 💙 Welcome.
40% of college students leave college debt free it’s more common than people think
That means 60% of students leave with debt, making it more common than not.
@@talyahr3302 because 60% want to go to out of state private schools
I know y'all thinking what I'm thinking 😏 lol
Kristina is amazing and beautiful, I am inspired by her story you guys are truly blessed to have her on the show!
They way she talked about scholarships I assumed she applied for hundreds, but only 50 to get that much money, that's nuts.
Well, here's a new face on The Ramsey Show. Welcome Kristina. Looking forward to hearing more from her.
Welcome Kristina!!
I am grateful for her encouragement to all those out there. I think it is a good idea to look for scholarships. However, 100-200 scholarships, is that not alarming at all? Are we going to touch on the fact that college is too costly to begin with? We keep beating people us saying work harder, but not going after the system that makes it hard to get a great education to begin with. I agree developing a great work ethic is a must but there are many ways and endeavors just from living that can build work ethic. I think we need to work on both, helping our children with life lessons but also reforming some of the ways of the world, that are just not helpful.
I remember seeing her on some financial youtube videos years ago when she was basically still a kid.
I got a 5 year scholarship, given by a former alumnus,
He gives it to a new freshman every year, who lives closest to him.
25 miles away in Tennessee
I need to know...
What's the link to her business website? She said she does this for a living now helping others.
whoever add the sexy music at the intro, spot on.
🤣
is this the replacement for christy? Heard a lot about her. Supersmart and successful!
Cutie on the thumbnail, knows her money skills, I’m clicking every time.
Now that's a victor.
Wow 👏🏾
Glad to see the new personalities, they seem like great people. I haven't seen the other new person on the show just yet but I follow her on Instagram. I'm looking forward to hearing more from them!
I'll be watching waaaaaaaay more now with her on here! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Yeah she's really pretty lol
Good, glad to hear I'm not that only one that just watches the Rachel Cruz ones....
I am wanting to go to grad school for my MBA, but i dont want to pay for it lol. I will now create a strategy to figure out how I can go for free.
Bienvenedos, Kristina!
I’m just going to be honest, I clicked this video because of the thumbnail. I did see a bunch of 0’s in my peripheral (the title), but the thumbnail was all I needed in order to click.
Scholarships are nice, but I view them as a "bonus" not something you want to bank on. Yes, apply for them all, but still plan on how you are going to pay for college in your Plan A.
I would love to see my grand children do this.. not sure if they have the motivation..
Where do you find legitimate for college
Pretty smart lady.
Venezuela in the hooooood!!!
I thought it was inspiring that she received such hefty scholarships without being special. Plenty of people are intelligent and conscientious, have the ability to contribute, and deserve a spot in college and assistance, not just brainiacs and athletes.
She *is* a brainiac. I’m not sure why they’re acting like she was some average kid. She was not. Vanderbilt has a 6% acceptance rate. The average GPA is a 3.8 and you need at least a 30 on the ACT. She may say she wasn’t perfect, but she was pretty darn close.
Not special my foot. She participated in the junior Olympics and won a state beauty pageant.
She's very special, actually. She's a total nerd and I love to see it.
She look good!
Amazon will pay for your degree when you work for them.
She's so pretty 😍
Meh, I hate to rain on this episode but its a little disingenuous. The vast majority don't get scholarships. At least not in any meaningful amount.
Nice job making a life
So, they are very careful to not disclose the websites to search for scholarships. Gotta buy the book for that, right Richie Rich?
My professor got a doctorates degree debt free.
She went to the wrong school one girl said she got a refund from her university in scholarship money on a podcast from left over funds
Anybody know what happened with Anthony Oneal?
He moved to Florida, and is doing his own podcast or show I believe. I saw one of his earlier videos. I feel like he wanted to have his own brand distinct from Ramsey.
Dave Ramsey killed him in a drive by. He wouldn’t stop asking redundant questions and incorrectly applying the baby steps when he co-hosted. Dave said “that’s enough babbling, I’m sending you to the boneyard”
Congrats to the Ramsey Team for landing this revolutionary. Her story is definitely inspiring.
She checks boxes that many people will not. Low income. Single parent. Minority. Woman.
Unfortunately, most of these scholarships discriminate based on race. My half-white, half-Asian daughter isn’t going to qualify for most scholarships simply because of her race.
America NEEDS 100 million more ladies like her. I tip my hat to you ma'am. 😊 ❤
Very good. Nothing against Anthony but she has a more polished demeanor.
Anthony was a very poor speaker
Apply for the Gates millennium and McDonald's scholarship and you will be set financially with your higher education.
Who lost the hours?
who pays for the scholarships?
Guess she is Anthony's replacement since he is kind of been pushed to the background. It is very hard to listen to a lot of the new personalities and a lot of times they give some sketchy advice. Also none of them have any real finance experience or background which just seems weird. JD is more relationship stuff, Ken is meh career advice I guess, AO give debt free college advice without graduating college? Racheal does a decent Dave impression and Kristie does entrepreneur stuff. But if you asked any of them detailed financial questions about real estate investing, stocks, social security strategies, retirement planning and different options or detailed insurance questions they would all be clueless. All they can do is regurgitate the baby steps. Ultimately I don't think Dave's empire survives much past him unless he finds someone that really knows their stuff...the problem is anyone that knows their stuff will have different advice than Dave and he can't tolerate that since it might mean he was wrong about something.
Great points sir! Couldn’t have said it better
Yeah, you got some solid points here. Maybe they need to transition away from the show in the future and focus more on financial tools and seminars. Bottom line is there will never be another Dave Ramsey in terms of financial knowledge and command of the microphone. The only options they have are jumping the shark in terms of quality, having a radical paradigm shift in the show's content and philosophy, or giving the show an honorable end (which I think is the best option).
I think we all agree we miss Chris. Whenever his non compete ends and he makes his own channel I'll be there.
@@alexmanzewitsch714 I agree the show should have ended with Dave. It’s being devalued by the other personalities. They don’t make ‘em like that anymore. Nobody’s here to listen to weak millennials. I feel bad that he built the complex. I think it may have been better to invest elsewhere, let the kids pursue their own careers, and inherit when the time comes.
The answer here is clear. Clone Dave Ramsey
From my experience, if you have a sad/ sop story, and a minority, you are more likely to get those scholarships. How should middle class individuals go about this ? We have enough to “ live comfortably “ but still affording college is another story
If you were actually middle class then in state tuition isn’t that much of a challenge
@@DavidRamseyIII yup. True middle class people can usually afford to pay out of pocket for in state or community.
@@DavidRamseyIII 50k a year is manageable for a middle vlass income?
@@dogguy8603 loser talk mate. No instate college or community college has ever cost 50k a year.
@@dogguy8603 my instate university is $20k a year and I live on campus with their meal plan. It’s the second most affordable university in the state. If your paying $50k that’s on you.
Everyone loves a good vocal fry
It is easy JUST be inferior action
Christy’s replacement?
Wow, she's gorgeous.
If every parent told their kids that there is no money for college.
What happned to her? She was gone so quick.
Why does DR change these personalities every other program?
all U have to do is be a DUAL inferiority action ?
Awesome
Mad boring conversation here. Though something tells me the views on this video won’t suffer
shes really pretty 🙈
Kristina is VERY attractive!!!
👍
🙄 selling to the Instagram crowd.
I was a soccss college player, 4.0, I make $150k/yr. 18 years working at the same hospital. I want to quit it all…
Are you a nurse? Doctor? Admin?
I miss christy Wright
*KRISTINA TE AMO*
She seems like a nice person with some interesting perspectives and a good radio voice, but do we really need more personalities on this show?! Are they trying to phase Dave out? Just my thoughts; you're free to have your own opinion.
Nice to see some diversity.
I know Dave is the type to always work but I think he wants to start relaxing a little more and enjoy somewhat of a retirement. I think this is why we are seeing some new personalities.
@@The.AI.Finance he needs to just retire retire. man has money like go on vacation dude stop wasting your time sitting here when u have people that can hold down the show.
@@musselmanmedia5236 I guess the issue is that Dave Ramsey's name still carries the brand recognition, so while there are other people who can carry the showon in theory, it's easier to get people to tune into the Dave Ramsey Show than the 'Rookie Financial Guru Personality Radio Show'.
@@Rashaadthegr8 they’ve had diversity
Kinda miss the old episodes…new personalities like George and ken oversimplify things and don’t have the credentials of a Dave. Just bc he hired you doesn’t mean you got IT
Ken and George I still cannot got them.
🤓👍👌🖖✌😎
Oh yeah right she got 500k scholarship,
Thats like winning a lotto
Using that as am example is just stupid
Did you not hear she got over 50 scholarships lol. Not one single one, just put effort into something
she fine
Yes..good attitude... gorgeous eyes, eyebrows and cheeks
she's a cutie
NICE TRY DAVE, BUT SHE DOESN'T REPRESENT THE CULTURE 🤷🏾♂️
Oh goodie.. another personality 🙄
She needs to be a weather girl…
She’s hot!
Something about her I don't like.
Hello kristina Ellis your a cutie 😍😍😍😍😍
Another useless "personality"
Who’s this minority hire
Kristina Ellis
She got a Instagram? For financial purposes only of course
Dave says it towards the end lol. iamKristinaEllis
