I've played this game for over a year and a half and every single update, it gets massively better. Stoked to watch you slay some runs and get the harder difficulties on lock, curious who you'll enjoy the most Cheers for years of content bro!
Im so glad you're checking out this game finally! Im a massive fan of ROR2 and this game quickly dethroned it. It is probably my favorite roguelike along with Skul the hero Slayer. I really recommend you check out Skul as well as these games are very very fun. Massive thanks for this video and i hope you like it!
I like the concept of skul. But I really didn’t gel with the gameplay. It felt kind of janky and reminded me of an old flash game. The idea of swapping heads to get new powers was so cool though and I really wanted to like it. I’m glad you like it though. I played something called deaths door though. It wasn’t a rougelike but it’s one of the games I’ve played more recently that I didn’t hate. Still haven’t found a game to dethrone crosscode as my number one yet though.
One thing of note with the killing enemies is that there are lots of crystals around the world that can add up to a lot of currency but take reduced damage while in combat, so its a toss up as to clearing the enemies or brute force killing the crystals. I think like risk of rain, it's sometimes good to stop and farm for a bit but keeping moving and exploring is also important this game feels like risk of rain 2 but a lot more balanced, I really like that the characters keep their identity through runs, in ror it feels like the game eventually all feels the same with you just running around at mach speed trying to get proc chains going
This game is definitely imperfect, but it probably my favorite game right now, as someone who put 600 or so hours into risk of rain. Some additional things - Every streamer I see (sponsored to) play this game focuses way too much on killing the peon enemies outside of camps, resulting in them not doing camps and losing a TON of power (which is why woolie thinks the enemies are too tanky). This can probably be chalked up to bad game design, I think almost every gamer sees enemy and wants to kill them. While thats not how this game should be played, the fact that that's everyone first reaction definitely needs to be looked at, because I think its keeping people from an otherwise unbelievably fun experience. The skill expression in this game is clearing each camp as quickly as possible to move on to the next one in order to optimize your strength for the boss and later chapters. Not moving quick enough sets your whole run to be super rough (think ror2 cope runs except with less ways to come back from them). Just some scattered thoughts that came up while watching, I really hope woolie revisits this game and maybe tries to beat nightmare mode!
Been playing this game since EA launch, the ONLY downside is the fact that most of the people in multiplayer are awful at the game so you get farther faster by running solo. But you can tell the mechanics of the game were created to be played in multiplayer, not that single player isn't viable, that's how I play the game most of the time.
Its like hades was also torchlight. Big open map to explore and do events with character having defined move sets. Collect upgrades and items to improve your skills. Definitely more roguelike but its also pretty neat structure wise.
I enjoyed Curse of the Dead Gods a lot! I just felt like it was a little too punishing for early mistakes, and the progression was going nowhere for hours of gameplay at a time. Glad to see this game feels like a faster and more “natural” progression.
The game's great, especially in coop the higher difficulties really put some pressure on and the final boss (the actual one) was really sick when me and my mates first beat it
Hopefully you continue playing this game. I've been struggling to get a run off the ground in nightmare difficulty and enjoy Scarlet the most. Would love to see you play more of it!
There's 4 difficulties, 3 chapters 18 mins per chapter, custom challenges and 9 characters to learn with each of them having a lot of build potential there's plenty to do. I put 150 hrs into the game and i still haven't haven't properly delved into half of the characters.

Ive been playing since their EA launch, its a solid game with solid coop, but some things might annoys some players.
Nice
I'm currently 100%ing Roboquest. Might check out this one next, looks pretty cool
You gotta check out this game called Forty-Five. It's a lot like Slay the Spire and it's actually awesome.
What's the voice at 7:35

none other than joseph r biden himself (REAL)
my best bet is an ai joe biden tts donation
We need guides I am so trash at this game.
The modiffiers are nice but if u use them it doesn't count as u beating that diff and it doesn't unlock skins
Still waiting for the robo quest content, Mr streamer
This looks like hades
Remember that time this was coming to PS5😭
It still is :)
They should 100% give the dash i frames, that would make the game so much better
Game isn't bad in it's core but it is too short and has very little content
