Dropped mine in the damn toilet (before I actually USED the toilet,thankfully) about a week ago and almost had a full on PANIC ATTACK!! I got it out,dried it off,sat it on my nightstand and hoped 4 the best.That was over a week ago and to my surprise it still works exactly the same as it did before the "incident," that almost gave me a heart attack.Until then I never even gave much thought as to whether or not it was water resistant,but apparently it is and that's an awesome feature that I honestly wouldn't have guessed this phone even had.I'm anxious as Hell to see what new features LG has in store for the Stylo5.
I just dropped my stylo 4 in a bucket of water while on the speaker phone. I took it out of the bucket of water and my Mom was still on the line. Didn't think it would survive but glad it did. Thanks for your video(s).

It's not water proof phone if it's was water proof phone they will put it on the box to say it is water proof phone it's only water resistant only like light rain drops and little drop of water that's it you can't throw it in the pool.
My mom's phone (an LG stylo 4) accidentally fell into a bucket full of water and she didn't notice until 2 or 4 minutes had pass by, and when she took it out she looked worried and I told her to not to worry cuz the phone is sealed. When she used it to see if everything was alright, the phone looked like it hadn't even touched water!!! Of course it had little drops inside the charger plot, but she just blew on it and thats it! Its still working.

I have to say i have been getting 8-9 hours screen on time easily . the 3300mah is adequate for long life because the processors must be very energy efficient. Also the screen is not the brightest.

That's why I'm sticking to the LG Stylo line. Was going to get the first one when it was out, but the stylo 2 was coming out a few months later so I waited for that. Decided to stick with this line since then. I'm getting this one next...they just keep improving.

I still remember the stylo 1 i had the pearl one i loved that phone, i sold it to some guy unlocked for $250 had a very nice case and a tempered glass i got free while working at metro pcs. Now my job gave me a free stylo 4 and its good. But i stil love my s7. I dont know why people wanna buy the stylo 1 for so much money but its true.
The water isn't going to affect the phone immediately. You may have to give it some time for the water to corrode the inside of your phone. I think if it was water resisteint LG would list it along with the specs. I didn't see any thing about it on the straight talk version. Otherwise great video, you're a champ to willing put your phone in some water. I'm subbed now 👌
I highly recommend the LG Stylo 4 it is the best phone I have ever had. The only problem I have had with it is the stylus that came with the phone broke so I am having to buy a replacement but the cost for the replacement stylus was under $10 so it really is no big deal. I dropped it in the toilet and it did not suffer any water damage. I have dropped this phone on the hard concrete several time and ( knock on wood) it is still got a perfect screen no cracks or even scratches. I dont even have a screen protector on it or even a case for that matter. So all in all it is a great phone. If anything does happen to this one I will repurchase if it is still available.

The reason its not water resistant is because the US version wasnt built that way. However, there was a Stylo 4 that released in Europe (named the Q Stylus) that is water resistant and includes a 16mp camera.

Cod Warframe LG cannot make that claim if they weren't certified. Putting any phone in water despite it being waterproof will still suffer from some sort of damage. Waterproofing is only guaranteed in fresh water like your kitchen sink or a pool for short periods of time. After that window, you'll notice your phone will cease to work.
Lost phone for 2 hours while it was pouring at home in the garage working on my car after calling my phone from my house phone and running around trying to hear it ring in the garage and searching the vehicle I run from one to the other I find it completly underwater where I litterally have boards to walk across because of the yard flooding and its completly fine just shook it off i dont even think any water got into it and my power button on the right side is even missing litterally completely under water for at least 1 and a half to 2 hours i am impressed
As a technician I tell people to not put their phone in rice to dry it out, it doesn't do anything, you are just letting it dry on its own, the rice does absolutely nothing

The regular stylo 4 isn't ths stylo 4+ is how do i know i stuck my regular stylo 4 under the water & it damaged the light for the camera when i take photos now it doesn't light up.!

IP 68 water and dust resistance is tired as a selling point for the Stylo 4+, although I haven't seen claims elsewhere that the standard Stylo 4 has it.

I dropped mine in a jacuzzi tub full of water. The speaker sounded off for about half an hour but after it dried it worked perfectly.

As a technician I tell people to not put their phone in rice to dry it out, it doesn't do anything, you are just letting it dry on its own, the rice does absolutely nothing
My sister once dropped her iphone 5 in water and put it in a bag of dry rice. The rice got stuck in the charger port so she couldn't use it all...

Was this the 4 or the 4 plus? 4 doesn't say it's water restistant. Yet 4+ Does from what I read on the box here at work.

Could u. Do a freezer test on the lg stylo 4. Freeze the phone. Over nite. And see if it works in the morning?

The regular stylo 4 isn't ths stylo 4+ is how do i know i stuck my regular stylo 4 under the water & it damaged the light for the camera when i take photos now it doesn't light up.!

i just dropped my phone in the bath and its all cracked up on the bottom. I didnt know if it was going to survive so i looked it up, and know im finding out my phone is waterproof. Thank god.

I just dumped mine in the washer with a basket of laundry it was several mins before I realized. It was working when I took it out but I turned it off and its in a bag of rice now I'm so freakin worried being Christmas time I cannot afford to replace it
I upgraded from a Stylo 3 to the Stylo 4 today and I'm pretty excited about it. Now to wait 3-5 days to get it. 😂

This past saturday my phone got thrown in the fish tank i looked for my phone for over 30 min we called it amd could hear it but couldnt find it finally found it in the tank amd it was still on and ringing i put in in salt and its now working perfectly fine
This literally just happened to me my phone fell in the toilet and it was fine but I just wanted to check and find out information but I'm happy
The only problem is that the speaker messes up but you can simpily fix that by play loud noises

The beginning, when he put it in water, it make me cringe so much o was like "HES NOT GONNA ACUTALLY PUT IT IN WATER IS HE OH MY GOD HES ACUTALLY GONNA DO IT" and then he put it in, and nothing happened to it...that was so satisfying to see it not damaged or anything like that

The lg stylo 4 is waterproof even tho lg obviously didnt tell us that until the lg 4 plus. I dropped my lg stylo 4 in the toliet last night and it works perfectly im using it rn

My lg Q stylo 4 plus is ip68 and MIL spec in packaging. Take pictures under water all the time never had a problem yet
IP 68 water and dust resistance is tired as a selling point for the Stylo 4+, although I haven't seen claims elsewhere that the standard Stylo 4 has it.
Is that the normal or the plus?
