Sadly, I have neighbors here in Arizona who think the Democrats are trying to stop the audit because they don't want to get caught. They cannot see the insanity in front of them. It boggles my mind.

That is why I think there should be laws set in place that would forbid lawmakers and other government officials from making unsubstantiated claims, as it pertains to America's democracy. Because, lots of people believe the claims of lawmakers whom they support. For example, Senator Rand Paul stated, "in many ways the election was stolen." He shouldn't be allowed to make that statement without proof. And of course, the same goes for former President, Donald Trump, who was the mastermind behind such false claim regarding the election. He shouldn't be allowed to make those claims without proof, while in office. The bottom line is, it is because your neighbors are hearing those claims from some government officials they support, that they believe them. Unless, of course, they just care more about their feelings and political party than truth and democracy.

@@Shmity1962 The issue here is that there have already been multiple recounts and reviews in the aftermath of the election before Biden was sworn into office and that this whole fiasco is being used to tarnish the legitimacy of Biden's victory. Because they'd rather believe that ballots were shipped in from south korea, that italian military sattelites hacked the voting machines, or that real ballots were fed to chickens and then the chickens were incinerated.
Beyond that, it's part of an effort to undermine the constitutional rights of millions of Americans to have there voices heard as evidenced by how republican legislatures have been trying to pass laws that would interfere with likely democratic voters ability to do so.
Lastly I'm going to point out the cost of this to you: not merely the labor costs of hiring thousands of amateur hour recounters via "cyber ninja", but also the fact that the ballots and possibly voting machines have all been tampered with now and will need to be replaced at the expense of the state.
