  • Joshua Roberts, like thousands of others across the country, perform what’s known as a First Amendment Audit where citizens armed with cameras show up in public places to record. They’re there to test whether government employees and law enforcement understand the public’s rights to record in public places.

Why not? Nobody cares that a partisan candidate, by nature of being partisan, has a conflict of interest and thus should be disqualified from holding public office. Conflicting oaths have never been an issue from local government all the way to the Federal government.
Nobody cares that the Judicial branch OF the government rules in cases between individuals vs that same government. The least impartial arrangement possible, and a clear conflict of interests, yet that's the standard.
So why not also have these same government agencies investigate themselves and find they've done nothing wrong? It's no less ludicrous.
Certainly, YOU could tell a judge you investigated yourself and found no wrong doing, right? That would be accepted by a judge, Right?

It's because the term "First Amendment auditor" doesn't really mean ANYTHING to ANYBODY. An "audit" is an analysis of an entity's income and expenditures and it looks for inconsistencies which might point to embezzlement or other fraud.
Those morons wandering around public buildings while not being clients of those agencies, failing to sign the Sign=In sheets, acting like they're at liberty not to speak when spoken to are in NO position to "audit" ANYTHING.

    • @newsnowhamilton
      @newsnowhamilton 2 года назад +1

@@troyevitt2437 When someone audits a university course is it not an audit because the topic was history or constitutional law and not finances? Of course not. A 1stA audit can be called a compliance or performance audit (they're a thing. Look it up). Quality audits, i.e an ISO certification is a type of, you guessed it... audit. An audit is simply a different word for a test.
A 1stA audit is simply seeing if someone else is going to respect your 1stA right or not. As we're seeing from people auditing, these audits are desperately needed. It's baffling how many people in law enforcement and government have absolutely now idea about the very rights they swore an oath to protect. They're demonstrating this, through auditing, on a daily basis.
The way I see it, one of two things has prompted your comment. One, you didn't know there were multiple types of audits. Fair enough. No one knows everything. Or, two, the term "First Amendment auditor" doesn't really mean ANYTHING to A̶N̶Y̶B̶O̶D̶Y̶ YOU 🤔? But this much is apparent, the word "audit" has a broader meaning than you give it credit for.

@@newsnowhamilton Just how well do you know your fellow frauditors ??? Your term 1st amendment auditor is well know in the debunking community. Can you "audit" a post office ?? According to Poster 7, You can't, Its against the rules governing the USPS, But frauditors always read that one little paragraph they think is a magic spell that lets them do that. You need permission first !! Or read the US Department of Homeland Security Federal Protective Service , OPERATIONAL READINESS ORDER , Report Number: HQ-ORO-002-2018.
You do understand that the 1st Amendment is not an absolute thing, It does have limitations, In other words say or do the wrong thing and your actions can and will have consequences. But most sane people know what frauditors really want and that is a payday from lawsuits.
The moment a frauditor puts in a copyright claim on a video made to debunk them using some of their video under fair use, The person that made that video, their 1st Amendment right to critique the video is thrown out the window, But yet I thought it was all about the 1st Amendment. When they claim a copyright claim, They demonstrate they care nothing about anyone's rights but their own. And using parts of their video is legal under fair use.

That called it “getting loved.”
It was sickening then and it’s sickening now how they hire the circus clowns who I believe should be in jail and allow them to do anything they wish. Yes , there are cameras everywhere , but those cameras images aren't loaded on to YT for monetary gain . These Filmer's try the patience of city officials to get a reaction for the Filmer's subscribers , and when their cameras get touched they scream assault then file lawsuits because they don't have any money .

This all goes down to training. Every year public servants are trained that they are the RULER of the citizens rather than the servants. Every year they’re trained to trample more and more of our rights. The public employees truly believe that WE are subservient to them. And they display that behavior constantly.

There's a flaw in your logic. Think how uncomfortable you would feel if some scruffy looking guy came poking around where you work. How would you react if you asked what was going on and that person jumped in your face demanding your name and job title? Wouldn't you be concerned about this person's motives or even mental state? Wouldn't you wonder if this person was a threat to you or someone else in your place of employment, maybe a stalker? These types of gotcha videos are totally irresponsible.

I find it inexcusable that this is an ongoing problem, and one would think these employees would be well versed on the constitution.
And the additional improper behavior of dragging a simple investigation out 14 months when its crystal clear that the first amendment was ignored, and the journalist was being physically impeded from moving about in public accessible areas by an employee.
Both public employees should have been reprimanded, because this behavior has to stop, and it's time to clamp down on this flagrant disregard of the constitution.
